If it's not sci-fi it has to be in the past. The only Nolan movie that was set in the future was Interstellar and that involved interstellar travels. I'd prefer if it wasn't another film in the past personally, but I'll take anything.

According to Variety:

Sources say Nolan’s latest isn’t another sci-fi epic; some speculate that it may be in the espionage genre.

I love espionage films so it's more than fine for me, but I'd prefer a sci-fi film even more.

But joking aside, as I haven't even seen Uncharted, you're right. You get cast in a Nolan film, no matter how big or small the part, it's bound to come with some leveling-up for your career.

I hate to be this guy, but this casting doesn't excite me either. He's a fine enough Spidey and seems like a really sweet guy, but he is quite bland or uninspired in most of his performances.

Nolan was able to get a good performance out of Harry Styles. I'm sure Holland will be fine.
