Citizen Superhero 'Phoenix Jones' Arrested in Seattle

>_< no one that is sane or not on something dances to their car having a good time. Check their damn coffee for Coke. Wait, wait, the Seahawks won a game. No wonder they were dancing in the streets.

so was he randomly pepper spraying or trying to break up a fight or what?

Either the other people lied or he was mistaken. Chance you take putting on the suit.

I had no idea about this group of superheroes. I really wonder why they decided to unite other than being affected by watching films like Kick-Ass too much.

Those "reals" are a funny bunch.

I get they want to help their community and they mean well....but this is crossing the line

Was he in the HBO documentary Superheroes?

It's one thing if he wants to be an idiot and put his own life and future in danger, but this guy has two young kids. Hopefully, he will wisen up.

Family men shouldn't become superheroes. :o

One thing that annoys me about the "reals" is that they are trying to be like "iron man" or the FF4. They want the fame and publicity and to make a name for themselves, and the major downfall from that is being labled as looney and becoming a target.

This is why Batman stays off the television and doesn't do interviews. Rookies.

Agreed. They set themselves up. Sounds like they just want to be recognized as they walk down a street.

Footage from the incident has been released. He was trying to break up the fight, and he only pepper sprayed when attacked. I don't understand the criticism coming from this thread. People trying to help protect innocent civilians from criminals makes them crazy? He was only using pepper spray when necessary. And it is a good thing he was there, considering the police took 20 minutes to show up after they'd been called. It's a shame he was arrested.

They would arrest the black hero first. It reminds me of in the first issue of Icon where the cops pull guns out on them when they first offer their help. :hehe:

Seems like he lived long enough to see himself become the villain

I never got the impression that any of these people are out for fame. There are better ways to go about if that's what they really want. They just seem like people who really like the idea of being superheroes, but within the limits of the law.

Clearly from the video, those people were not dancing. You can see punches being swung.

I see a lot of stories of people going to jail for using pepper spray. It IS a legal self-defense mechanism, correct? Seems like every time it's used, the user takes the punishment.

He's the hero Seattle deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
