Civil War: Battle Damage Report (Marvel spoiling yet another event ending?)

Having the registered heroes win over the unregistered gives MARVEL more storylines than if the unregistered heroes won, I think.

Hmm..mebbe you're right about that.More controversies bound to pop out of it....mebbe.

are marvel just trying to forget about the hwole sunfire and gambit thing or have I missed an issue, as he seems to be back to his old costume in that picture...

Well, unless Apocalypse gave Sunfire a pair of breasts to go along with his new legs, that would be Sunpyre in that pic.

Funny, because she's supposed to be, y'know... dead.

Asgardians floating above Oklahoma??? did you miss Ragnarok? they are all dead.

JMS has stated that in the upcoming Thor ongoing Asgard, along with the Asgardians, will be in Oklahoma

get with the times Crimson :p

Yeah, I know, but I looked it up awhile back when I was making a similar point to someone else, and apparently there's an alternate version of her floating around out there in the 616 world.

well looking at those pics..it strikes nick fury off from the main power behind the civil war as he is in that pic with UJ and cap britain..

These highly organized local teams create an easy and organized way to start and execute the butt-kicking of WWH. Interesting.

And why exactly would Nick Fury be the main power behind Civil War?

dunno...just another name bandied round...as the guy in the pic says they would never guess in a millions years who it was...just another name to strike off the list..

Why does ALL of Africa only have one superteam and why is everyone on it Black?

'cause white people don't trust black people to defend them? :o

Seriously man, stop looking to start a fight :whatever:

Huh? That was a valid question. Why have ONE team defend such a huge continent, and why wouldn't say Sabra or Arabian Knight be involved or a part of that team?

It's a valid question. It's like having only one super team defending all of Asia; considering the animosity between China and Japan -- amongst other things -- it would be a completely asinine course of action.

Africa is hardly one big happy continent. There are racial and national and religious tensions going back decades upon centuries. A single superteam is not going to be recognized by the majority of the African peoples.

If some of these predictions come true Tony is definitely becoming teh fascist.

Couldn't an actual dearth of African superheroes answer such a question efficiently and expediently? Why does everything have to come back to reverse racism and paranoia?

*shrug* There's any variety of reasons for it to have happened. But whatever the reason, it wasn't a smart reason, and it'd be pretty unrealistic if it actually works.

What if T'challa were to form a strong alliance between the African nations? That could easily do the trick.

maybe this team is composed of powerd beings from each of the regions of Africa that have tension and this is seen as a peace keeping method. Why would Sabra and Arabian Knight be involved with Africa since their countries arent in Africa????
Both are Middle East countries and I imagine that that region would have it's own hero team

:whatever: This is why it helps to read everything, because if you had, you would have clearly seen the part at the end where I specifically said that it might "mean that the Act stays put and now the rest of the world starts enforcing it as well".

thats an awful lot of guesswork on your part though.

Its a bit unfair to claim this as a proper spoiler.

Here is my full prediction, or as full as I can get it right now because I might have more ideas later.

Tony will win in a landslide, heroes will be forced to register or retire. Heroes who don't will be rebels and be hunted down. Tony will be head of SHEILD, and each state in America will have its own hero team. Maybe he will even try and force other nations to do the same, be our allies and follow what we do or be our enemies, using the power of SHEILD to do it.
Cap will loose but still work at countering Iron man somehow (as leader of Omega Flight or New Avengers or something).
Spider-man will be a rebel and be hunted, like many other rebel heroes, he will be considered a menace. Spider-Man will also have to cope with everyone knowing him as Peter Parker.
the X-men will have to deal with their own stuff like what has been going on in Astonishing X-Men but also have to deal with the registration act which is almost a mutant registration act.

Things will be topsy turvy like this at Marvel for a year or two, or more, and slowly (at a snails pace slowly) but surely change back to as close as normal as possible.

All that sounds depressingly plausible.

Having the registered heroes win over the unregistered gives MARVEL more storylines than if the unregistered heroes won, I think.

True-whether we fans will LIKE these stories is another question entirely. With SPidey the whole point was guy balancing his regular life with web-slinging; and now it's essentially impossible for him to ever have a regular life again and he would definitely have fugitive status. Which considering that certain factions apparently prefer not to see Peter "saddled" with a wife or family might suit their needs very well. And I anticipate they have big plans for what Tony will be up to once he's head of SHIELD though by that point the only reason fans will take the slightest interest in what happens to Tony at all is the hope of seeing one of the many real heroes he's betrayed give him the comeuppance he so richly deserves.

This is why I NEVER said it was a proper spoiler. I made it very clear, saying that this might be a spoiler or not and putting the question mark in the title. Does no one teach reading comprehension anymore these days?
