Civil War Civil War merchandise

So cute.

But Civil War Cap is the same as AOU Cap, down to the red outline around his star (which when I first saw the stills for AOU I didn't like but now miss because I think it looked great in the film)

The two suits look so similar that I'm surprised more merchandisers aren't just repeating the AOU toys. The differences are so subtle I don't think most people would even notice.

This is year is strange. Usually by this time we have a nice list of the movies that will have spot but this year they're not giving us anything. I'm not sure when we might get something.

I suspect they'll start announcing some of the ads the week of, so starting next week. BvS and Deadpool have got to be locks for a TV spot, maybe Zoolander 2 as well. Disney may pay to get a spot for CW, doesn't make much sense to advertise Zootopia for the Superbowl.

For those that have not ordered S.H figuarts. These usually run up to 55 to 65 dollars with shipping

With the weak yen it could be 55 dollars if you pre-order during the discount

They're about 6.5 inches in height

I'll wait and see if they do a Black Panther.

I've been impressed thus far with how much of the merchandise focuses on the other characters and not just Cap and Iron Man.

The merchandise for this movie is outstanding... I can't believe they haven't started with Spider-Man yet considering he's the leader in merchandise sales. It's blowing my mind...

Vision still ain't getting no love :csad:

I think he's made out very well, all things considering. The big things working against him are that he's not a main character, and he's also the only hero wearing the exact same costume he had in Age of Ultron, which means they don't have an excuse to make up another variant figure. Black Panther is a new character, and Cap, Iron Man, Falcon, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Bucky, Ant-Man, and Sharon Carter all have new looks, which makes merchandising easier.

Still, he's getting several figures.

No Black Panther or Vision?

Hot Toys did show a Vision figure for their Civil War line, but it's the exact same one as his Age of Ultron one, I think.

Ah thanks!
Hope we get a Vision in the 6 inch Marvel Legends line. Falcon and Wanda too.

I'm fairly sure HT will make a BP figure for CW, probably won't announce it for another few months though. Highly likely they'll also make a CW Spidey because he's a big name, irrespective of how big his role is in the film. They went ahead and made a figure for SW's end of AoU outfit, so clearly screen time is not a factor if HT thinks they can generate some sales. The only reasoning I can think of for not doing a CW Spidey is whether HT has a shorter skinny body type they can use for Tom Holland, or if they have to manufacture one from scratch (in which case the tooling cost may be prohibitive). I can't remember any HT figure in the last few years that was in the 11-11.5" height range.

This is what I am hoping for also.

Unfortunately, the Marvel Legends line is very spotty with the movie figures, as Hasbro kind of cheap when it comes to new sculpts. We still haven't gotten a Falcon, Scarlet Witch, or Quicksilver either. Maybe they'll do a box set down the line. They could easily repaint the Avengers AI Vision into an MCU Vision.

Hot Toys doesn't usually unveil all their figures at once anyway. When they first showed the Age of Ultron line at Toy Soul, it was just Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulkbuster. They didn't show Ultron and Vision until later, and I don't think they unveiled War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Ultron Mark I, the Iron Legion, or Maria Hill until after the movie was out. Hell, Quicksilver was first shown in July, two months after the movie's release.

We will definitely get a Hot Toys Black Panther, and probably even a Spider-Man or Ant-Man/Giant-Man, but we're not gonna see them until later.
