Like mugs with SW and Sharon would be selling any worse than mugs with SW alone. No. It's just that Sharon is not a part of the final battle anymore, which she probably was at first. They gave her role to Wanda.

Was it ever said anywhere that Wanda wasn't originally in the script?

When there were only promo arts without Wanda someone claimed, well, not exactly that she wasn't in the script initially, but that Wanda is going to take Sharon's place and Carter's role has been cut. I didn't believe it back then, so didn't save the link, but now it seems getting confirmed. Because why else wouldn't they show Wanda alongside team Cap at first? She was in the very first promo-art for Age of Ultron, so it's not like they hadn't rights for it. And why would they suddenly cut Carter from the final battle? They could just have both Sharon and Wanda.

Interestingly it's only merchandise promo art Wanda's left out of. All other artwork, such as concept art or actual promo photos, she's included in.

it was probably two things 1.) people complaining about SW being left out of the last round, and 2.) people might actually recognize her from Avengers; I'm no Sharon hater, but she's not sellin' any mugs until people get the chance to know the character

True. Plus the fact that they are selling her as "Agent 13" instead of "Sharon Carter" isn't helping either. Hopefully that will change for IW.

I think it's most likely a matter of how old or preliminary the art is. Wanda's also in the recent LEGO stuff.

From Merchoid:

Now this leads me to believe that there is some resemblance to the movie costume. One apparel design might have been an early draft or something created by a clothing company. This means there is more clothing with this spider/web/color design hitting the market soon.

The more I see from Merchoid the more I want to believe they're copying the Ultimate Spider-Man show costume... And I'm perfectly okay with that considering it's the only good thing about the show. :o

Yup. A preview of the line they're showing at Toy Fair next month.

It's gotta be Spider-Man!

I hope that people are going to be pleased with the costume, because seeing IM, Cap and Spidey together for the first time on screen, people are going to go friggin ape feces crazy!

I don't think they would really need to hide him.

Of course Spiderman is probably the only one that isn't based off of the MCU incarnation, like it's some "exclusive figure" or something -_-

Son of a b, I thought that black suit Spiderman was from the movie. Boo... :waa:
