I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread like this before. If there is, can a mod please close it. But anyway, if you were a superhero in the Marvel Universe, and the Superhuman Registration Act came along, what would you do? Would you expose your identity, register with the government and get a paid job or would you fight against it? I personally would register and get a job as a cop assistant.

There were a lot of threads like this back when Civil War was still coming out. They've fallen like 30 pages down, though, so I'm sure making another one is fine.

If I were a superhero, I'd be on Cap's side. If I were a civilian, I'd probably be on Iron Man's. Unless, of course, I found out what kind of tactics he was resorting to.

I support the idea behind the SHRA, but I deplore the way it was implemented.

....I'm gonna go ahead and go with the obligitory

Smooth Move Captain Yesterday :p

I'd go with the SHRA. It makes since, plus i'd get paid to do what I was gonna do for free anyway. Plus I can totally kill a bad guy (under the right circumstances) and get away with it too. Just like the Chicago Police Department.

i would've been for registration i think as there are alot of powers out there left unchaecked..and in the real world an event like stamford would trigger something like this.
however i wouldn't have brought in heroes like common villains.
the heroes had less respect given to them than the villains....i think in all fairness my thoughts on the SHRA and my way of thinking about it would've been like spidey's...he tried but found to his regret that it wasn't implemented right..the thought behind it .
and to send the jester and jack o lantern after a hero like that was very wrong..good job castle was there!!
i think thats how i would've been...for it...but then regretted it due to its implementation and then defected to the other side...or just gone off the radar!!

Yeah, you can bet I would've been protesting the CSA's whole homicidal-maniacs-as-Thunderbolts move. That's just ridiculous.

You're dumb. They're great role models for kids, especially Bullseye and Venom/Scorpion; not like that traitor Captain America.

I like to use "Venorpion", because it sounds almost as ******ed as it is.

Of course. Now I see the light! The villains were all just misunderstood all along.

Pro Registration. Like the dude said in the prison truck right before Captain America kicked him out, the government weren't saying they couldn't be superheroes anymore, just that they had to do it properly, within the confines of the law, like everyone else. But, as other people have said, the pro-SHRA people made some big mistakes trying to enforce it.

From the get-go I was on Cap's side, then felt kind of funny because Spidey was initially on the pro-registration side. I felt better once Spidey saw what was going on.

Seconded.

Actually I thought Mac's decision making process on taking sides was the only one that really made sense to me. That's what I'd be doing. Get superpowers, kill a bunch of people, line up the book and movie deals then join the T-bolts for a year killing your most hated foes legally before retiring to somewhere with fruity tropical drinks and optional clothing.

You're kind of a dick, then. :(

Kinda? I'm a total dick. But I'd be a dick with superpowers, millions in the bank and having a tequila beverage while watching naked island women in front of a sunset. So I can live with that.

Unless the law caught up with common sense and you went back to getting your ass kicked, which you know is going to be the Thunderbolts' fate.

Dick doesn't have superpowers, he just dresses in Blue and Black and beats people up.

The law catching up with common sense? These are fictional comic books but even then they can only bend reality so much. Guy with the power of a million exploding suns? sure. Practical laws? You smoke too much of the pot.

I don't know the thunderbolt's fate yet but their the most interesting team I've seen in a very long time. I'm trying not to predict too much cause so far that series has taken guys that were completely stupid and actually made me care about them. Before this if you told me I would care if steel spider lived or died I'd have confiscated your drugs. But now it's me that needs to cut back.

All I'm saying is logically I'm more inclined with Gargan and his reasoning than anyone elses in registering. Everyone else was so whiney about it. Mac is making deals with hollywood players and taking advantage of the situation. Sorry but that's just cool.

Well, we can agree on the bit about Marvel's laws being ******ed, at least.

What can I say, if I'm honest then I'd definately be a villian if I got powers. Give me laser beam eyes and there would be a lot of dead people out there the very next day.

Plus you've got to admit that Mac scene with the SHIELD troopers was badass.

I admit nothing because I haven't read Thunderbolts since the team changed.

I would try to convince you that it's good, but you wont read it. You're too damn stubborn to listen to reason, hence the banana hammock you insist on wearing all the time.
