This is the absolute perfect look for Penguin just in terms of facial features, spectacles, crazy smile and evil wit. Colin Farrell has none of this whatsoever and is totally miscast

They should at least aim to cast someone who looks like the iconic villain. All of the other cast members are spot on and I’m even on board with another action packed Alfred from Serkis, but Colin Farrell??? Completely the wrong way to go.

Jesse Plemons would be another solid choice for the role but I’m not sure if he has that musical quality to him. He is a brilliant actor and could easily do the role well. Him and Sheeran would be far better choices than Farrell without a doubt

Colin Farrell is not a solid actor. He’s a great actor. The Lobster? In Bruges? Killing of a Sacred Deer? True Detective? Seven Psychopaths? Widows?

Especially when playing miserable/pathetic characters who wrestle with shame. He’s got this. Then you got the fact that Colin is gaining a lot of weight recently, and he’s not the type to ask for anywhere near as much as Jonah would ask. It’s such an inspiring choice.

He is just great at playing ego maniac and pathetic characters. I can see him easily playing the Iceberg lounge Penguin, for example. Which is a possibility with this movie being a detective story.

Iceberg Lounge Penguin is what I want to see. One thing we are guaranteed with Farrell is that Penguin won’t be boring lol.

I'm not saying either of those will be or should be his look for Penguin, I'm just saying Farrell has changed his looks for movies before, and at this point we don't know what he's even going to look like for the movie.
