Hi Guys! Just signed up on the fourms and wanted to say how much I enjoy the fan art section. Great stuff. For those of you who don't know me, I've worked for Image comics and currently working with Corgi creating Marvel licensed statues based on my designs, artwork and style. Hopefully if I have enough time soon I will be doing some more sequential art. Take a look at my stuff and let me know what you think. www.markspears.com I'd love to hear from you. Again, great forum.

Many thanks!

Mark

Welcome aboard Mark!Your styles are wonderful....Classicly Delicious if you will..I love that Phantom, Flash Gordon,The Shadow,Doc Savage and Zorro piece!(Im a HUGE Flash fan)((Would love to slap some colors on that if youd be so kind to hit the boards with the inked version))

welcome to the hype! I bet you will be an inspiration for many members on this board seeing as how you are already in the business. There are some really talented people on here, and I'm sure that you can bestow a lot of wisdom for them and even those with not as much talent (like me) can learn to grow an improve as artists.

Wow, i love the retro styles in that pic. Back when men were men, and heros wore their pants on the outside.......

Welcome to the boards, may we be blessed with your art for a long time to come....*ahem* sory about that

Very old school style, not really into that, but it's very well done.

What titles have you worked on? Reminds me of John Byrne stylistically . . . you will be a great asset to these boards . . . .

Welcome to the Board... really like the old school style, cant wait to see more

Awesome work!
But you need to make your Batman look more badass, he's not a superfriend.
I love your oldschool look to a lot of these characters!

Oh, your link to inked work doesn't work anymore.

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the comments. As some of you stated, my style is more "classic" or "old school". I can adapt my style based on the project but prefer the "classic" syle.

Many thanks!

Mark

great, great work mark.

your superman, for some reason, really pleases me. maybe i just prefer seeing him draw like that.

The Iron Man and the Hulk are my favorite. Cool stuff.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the input. I'm about to start working on my next statues it looks like. This will be a "vs" set. Still have to figure out who. Any suggestions are welcome. I was thinking of something like Spider-man vs Wolverine. I wanted to do a Hulk vs someone but the weight drives up the cost. The statues are 1/12th scale and are all metal, fully painted.

WOW, thanks!

I dunno if it has been done yet, but I would love to see Colossus VS. The Hulk... I think that would be interesting.... or maybe Juggernaut vs. the Hulk!!!!!

Both of thos sounds great. The only problem is weight. These are metal statues and by himself, the Thing weighs as much as a bowling ball. Would be hard to ship two big guys on one statue. I've talked to them about making the base split apart so you can create your own dream battles, that may help on the weight issue.

Who ever you choose for your statues, I'm sure they will kick a@@.:up:

Thanks!

Some people had asked me what my style would look like doing Star Wars characters, here is a Darth Maul I did.

I love your style. While I like people like Jim Lee and newer artists, I find my self liking art from people like Perez, Adams, and Kirby more and more. Your art really brings out that oldschool classic look. I'd love to see you doing regular work for Marvel or DC. Keep up the good work.

I really appreciate that. I am going to get some samples together within the next two weeks. So hopefully I will get work on a book for Marvel or DC soon.
