A few years ago I bought these two issues of Spider-Man and I can't remember what happened to them now. But I remember one of them was Peter going to I think it was South America, he went to the jungle and protected some person.

And the other one I think it might have been about Sandman or either Shocker, I think his son tried to swing off a building using some string.... :down

Could someone tell me what these two stories were about and if they were part of the Amazing Spiderman comics or some other ones.

I remember the second one.
I think its Peter Parker: Spiderman,
I have it in TPB form, I dont rememver the issue

I remember the second one - it was that crappy Fusion villian.
Peter Parker: Spider-Man volume 2

The 1st one might have been in the Savage Land.

Sweet I found one of them, I found the one where Peter goes to South America, its called The Spider Village. I still can't find the first one.

It's the first appearance of Fusion, from an issue in the 30s of volume 2 of peter parker spider-man

Thanks guys, I found both of them, according to SpiderFan both are really good stories.

One question about Spiderman in the comics, does he age in the comics? I know the comics started in the 60s and now its 40+ years later, but does he get older at all? I know he was a teenager in the first one, but does that mean he is way older now or just a few years?

Well his exact age hasn't been stated....but you could guess that he is roughly about 25-27. Around there.

So in the 40+ years of comics, he has aged about 8-9 years?

The EIC confirmed the years that had passed a while back, but i forget now. 13 years, I think. That makes Spider-Man 28 now. He had his High School reunion fairly recently.
Ultimate Spider-Man is a reimagining of Spider-Man for the modern day. I don't usually recommend it as I want people to read Amazing Spider-Man, Sensational Spider-Man, Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man and New Avengers (of which he's a member at the moment), which all follow earth-616 (as its known) Spider-Man, which is the main one, created in the 60s.
Usually Ultimate Spider-Man is less confusing but right now it's in the middle of its own Clone Saga so is probably more confusing than the current mainstream Marvel event, Civil War.
For all your comics needs though, search Wikipedia. The Spider-Man page there will fill you in on the backstory

Pretty much.

Thats the beauty of comics.

You can make a character grow without actually have to "age" the character.

is nobody listening to me? 12-13 years. EIC JQ said so damnit! It's easy to see. With every comic a split second could pass or 3 months. It varies. Marvel have kept a pretty good track on it though and nobody wants a 60-year old spider-man.

So he was 15 years old when got Spider powers? And whats the difference between Amazing Spider-Man (I know that Amzaing SM is the main story), Sensational Spider-Man and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Peter Parker: Spider-Man?

I still haven't heard it confirmed in the actual comics though.

I listen to nothing that JQ says anyway.

and no.....nobody is listening to you..:) :) :)

^typical, really.

solidsnake: ASM, SSM, FNSM are simply by different writers who choose to focus on different supporting staff sometimes. big stories will cross over books but generally they do their own thing, only whatever happens in one has to be paid attention to in another. if doc ock is in prison in FNSM then they have to give an explanation how he gets out to fight spider-man in ASM, for example
