Comics Homecoming comic book appearances

Incidentally, I was born the month ASM #54 came out.

alright, DT... you've provided one mind-stumper, so I'll return the favor... when did Peter discover his spider sense for the VERY FIRST TIME?... I remember where it happened, but I unfortunately don't remember the EXACT issue it happened... who can answer THAT?... now beat THAT... :oldrazz: and somehow I get the feeling that themanofbat can answer this one...

Aloha,
I needed to consult the Index's. It says he discovered his spider sense in Amazing #1.I see where he did not use the GPS in #51 but I remember there being an actual panel where Peter talks about retuning the tracers so that he does not need the GPS device. I'm still looking.

Aloha,
Okay, I can sleep now. He first uses his spider sense to track his tracers without a device in Amazing Spider-Man #37.

^^^ I said that in my previous post, but he never says in the issue that he's using his Spider-Sense, and he uses devices after #37. But ASM #54 is where he mentions his Spider-Sense going crazy as he's tracking Doc Ock

keep looking, DT... but here's a clue... it's KIND of a trick question as to when he FIRST discovered his spider-sense chronologically... and it IS canon... or at least I'm pretty sure that it is...

Aloha,
Yes you did. I was trying to find the page where he actually says that he fine tuned the tracers to his spider sense. I had to consult with the Official Index to the Marvel Universe The Amazing Spider-Man. That's where it says spider tracer tracked by spider sense(1st) But he does not explain how he can pick them up in that issue . In #51 he does put a tracer on one of The Kingpins men, but he does not use a GPS device. You may be thinking of his camera that he does retrieve early in that comic.I'm still looking for the comic where he explains why he no longer needs the GPS.Now I got to figure out the trick question from THUDERSTRIKE!

evidently, the question wasn't tricky enough, but you are correct, sir... I myself can't exactly remember in which particular issue of Amazing Fantasy the correct answer was in in, but I knew that it was in either AF #16, 17 or 18 and it was against the Undertaker villain, I believe... so you have earned yourself that No-Prize that we were conversating on a few days ago... and you've also earned yourself a few drinks of your choice...
kamau ki aha :awesome:

and you are correct, as well, sir... but since you are the second to guess that it was AF #16, you get a drink, but no No-Prize for YOU, LMAO... :oldrazz:

i love this question...

When was the FIRST TIME Peter Parker puts a paper bag over his head to hide his identity?

damn, I remember when this happened the VERY FIRST TIME... and I'm not talking about the time he put that bag on his head along with a spare FF costume...

I can't remember specifically when he did it, but I THINK he went into a laundromat in civilian clothes with a bag over his head to wash either his clothes or his Spidey outfit... I'm going to guess it was somewhere between ASM issues #70 -80... if I can't get a full No-Prize, I can at least try for a partial one, lol...

NOW I remember... it just came to me... it was when Electro returned in ASM #82... I knew it was somewhere around that time...

Ding ding ding!

We have a winnaahhh!!!

thankyouthankyouthankyou...

I'm usually pretty good with Spidey trivia from about the first hundred issues or so, because to ME, those were unforgettable stories from my childhood, so they're branded in my mind, as opposed to the newer stories, which I find and consider pretty forgettable...

Aloha,
Okay, back to Homecoming comic references.
While he is an Afluenza bully in Homecoming(based on the type of car he was driving )
What issue of Amazing Spider-Man did Peter and Flash have an actual fight?
Who did Peter ask to attend the science exhibition with him where he got bitten by the spider?
When she was a young chippy who did Aunt May date before Ben Parker?
Although changed for the movie-who did Ned Leeds date in Amazing Spider-Man?
Peter Parker invented web fluid (precursor to both Krazy glue and derma bond) what issue did he try and sell the formula? Why couldn't he sell it?
How many Vultures have there been(you will have to go outside of Amazing to get the complete answer).

Pete's first actual fight with Flash was in ASM #8 (first story)...

Ned started making moves on Betty Brant in ASM...

Pete tried to market his web fluid in ASM #18, but the potential marketers passed on it because it dissolved within an hour or so...

I'm only aware of Adrian Toomes, Blackie Drago and Clifton Shallot as the first three Vultures... any Vultures after the initial three escapes my memory...

Pete asked Liz, Flash and the rest of the crowd to join him at the science exhibit, but was turned down...

and I can't remember who was May's significant other before Ben came into the picture...

Aloha,
Give somebody else a chance.
I knew you would know about the web fluid since it's the first Spidey you and I read. You would think that with the long standing friendship that Spidey has with the Human Torch, why did he not ask for a meeting with Mr. Fantastic and have his help in marketing his webbing?
Everything that Tony Stark is doing in the movies, if contracts were different Mr. Fantastic would be in that position. Except the Iron Spider costume which Stark did create for Spidey.

You will have to go to an annual (not Amazing) to find out Aunt Mays boy friend before Uncle Ben.
You will have to go to Web of Spider-Man to find out about other Vultures but you got the three dead on.
Ned started making moves on Betty Brant in ASM...???

I'm not sure exactly if the Vulturions count, but there were five or six of them (at various points), and there was a Vulture 2099
