Common Sense as Roadblock??!!?

I'm a Com fan but the only thing he has in common (pun intended) with Roadblock is that they are both black. Roadblock should be a big dude. Terry Crews or somebody...

He said it's not official yet so we'll see I guess.

I been a Common fan since the early 90s...but I'm not a fan of his acting. Sorry. And NOT as Roadblock. I can see Terry Crews or maybe even Bob Sapp. Now there's a roadblock.

I've never seen him act in anything except American Gangster, and he only had like 2 lines, so I can't really say if he sucks or not. But Roadblock? That's like casting Steve Buscemi to play Hulk. Not Banner...Hulk.

If they wanted a rapper as Roadblock I could see LL Cool J over Com Sense. I have a question though, everyone keeps making casting suggestions of Roadblock as the "big black guy", but from what source is he a hulking figure? I thought he was around the same height as everyone else, just a little more cut from carrying machine guns. Wouldn't it make sense that he & Rock N Roll be the same build?

Yeah, they are already deep into filming, so I'm pretty sure it's just a small part or cameo as well. Roadblock wasn't some giant wrestler, so his size isn't an issue with me, and I've never seen Common act, so I have no concrete gripes yet. If true.

LOL! All this race talk reminds me of another of Hollywood's simplifications. Every time someone says 'minority', the focus is completely on blacks alone. Or almost, with a few Hispanics thrown into the mix. Which then begs the question, when are we Asians gonna get our turn? t:

Back to Com Sense as Roadblock. I'm a fan, and I think he's showing some serious dedication towards acting and has some talent, but geez, he looks NOTHING like him. Thats the biggest problem with this movie so far.
