G.I. Joe Not Really G.I. Joe

Why not build the entire movie around a masked mute??? I want this movie to be good and stand out not just because of names involved. In order to do that they are going to have to do something new and original. Why not build the movie around the masked mute??? People were making silent movies 80 years ago, I am sure they could center a movie on a silent masked character. If not, then they need to go back to film school and learn how to do something new and original and get back to the roots of moviemaking.

I admire your passion but in silent movies you could see the actors faces ... it makes a big difference.

I think Snake-eyes is a fantastic character but to make him the focus of the entire movie would be foolish. He should be a key member of a reduced Joe team .... maybe 7-8 members, give him 1 or 2 jaw-dropping fight scenes and keep the mystery of his past subtle.

Keeping Snake Eyes face hidden behind a mask for the entire movie would do exactly what no one wants. It would make the movie a cartoonish, unrealistic farce. Honestly, who wears a mask 24/7 other than Jason Voorhies???

Huh huh. Cause devoting six movies to ninja blood feuds wouldn't do the exact same thing. :woot:

Umm. WRONG... Watch V for Vendetta. The main character wears a mask though out the movie yet when he takes mask off, his face is never shown only shadow, Plus the movie is not cartoonish at and all that movie did very well in the theaters also.

I know the concept of G.I. Joe is a "real American hero", but the diverse nature of the team is what makes the whole concept work. If they want it to be just a covert team of operatives from around the globe, that would be fine.

Totally different movie. Trust me it would be better for Snake Eyes to be w/o a mask in non-combat scenes.

I'm sorry. Hogging quite a bit of screen-time for 3 or 4 movies.

My bad. :woot:

Noooooo!!!

The series would be at least 6 movies.

Snake Eyes story would be a subplot.:whatever:

Only one film would really be devoted to Snake Eyes and the ninja blood bath. It would happen in film 3 or 4, if 6 films are done, and Snake Eyes climax would coincide with the sagas overall climax.

Snake Eyes is the key, he always was. But if anything serious is going to be done with Snake Eyes he has to lose the mask and maybe even say a couple words here and there.:ninja:

Well, that's the part I mostly disagree with it. And your outline does nothing but suggest that very notion. Which come to think of it, is the spiritual equivalent of something even worse than chewing scenery. :woot:

Besides, the team can do just fine without him. Not that I don't want him around - cause I totally do - but, come on, Snakes is a part of G.I.Joe. One of the most - if not the one - popular character, but still, the team's not bloody defined by him. :woot:

It is on some level.
