Abed is just one of those characters that I don't see getting paired up. He's like Joey from Friends.

They can totally do it, within the context of the current show. Have Abed declare himself a spinoff for one episode, and have him gather a gang of eccentrics around him as a B-plot.

I just caught up on every episode from Sunday to now. Awesome show! For a while I had given up on comedies besides It's Always Sunny (gave up on 30Rock after 2 seasons, The Office after 3) but this is definitely clicking with me. The twist in the finale definitely hooked me and has me waiting for season 2 to start.

The show is great because everyone has their little quirks. But if we were to have a spin-off focusing on only one of them, it would get old really fast IMO.

Yea. I get **** from my friend about it but I compare this show too Scrubs alot because its very similar in just the way that every single character has something about the that makes them extremely funny and lovable too and thats what Community has going for it. Mark my words it will be the next Scrubs. I bet it just gets more and more popular as each season goes by but thats just my own little prediction

I honestly hoping you're comparing it to season 1-7 Scrubs, and that's it.

Im not sure on my seasons of Scrubs always just watch reruns but you know what I mean. 1-7 is the majority of the show correct? So my point still makes sense. Plus Donald Glover used to write for 30 Rock and I think this show is kinda like a combination of 30 Rocks intelligent writing and Scrubs heart and superb character dynamics

Agreed. If anyone on Community should have a spin-off its one of the less important characters. Main character spin-offs only hurt the original show.

I'd say the two possible spin-offs for Community are Starburns (with Leonard tagging along for good measure) and Ian.

I think Senor Chang has reached the point where he's too big of a part of Community to right out (although the idea of he and Rabbi Chang getting into all kinds of misadventures on a spin-off cracks me up). Ian seems to be just the right type of character for a spin-off and Oliver is always great.

Are you ****ing high? The show started to suck horribly around season 4 - 8 when they got rid of most of the comedy for wayyy too much drama.

First three seasons are some of the best comedy on TV. Season 8/9 (last one + the one without JD as the star) were awesome in their own rights too.

But the middle seasons. Holy hell.
