I think it's pretty funny coz I still love Community to death but I was sick of all of Glee's themed episodes lmao

yea lets forget about the pen ep, or the trampoline ep, or Troy's bday or Professor Professorson

Tory's birthday was a fantastic episode. So was the pen episode... Actually I can't think of a bad episode...

What was once the exception (The zany Paintball Episode) has now become the rule.

Then we must be watching different shows. While I do agree that the themed episodes have increased there are still a nice balance of non-themed episodes. The examples I stated are proof of that. Oh wait I forgot the season premiere and the one with Rob Cordry and Drew Carey as well. How many episodes this season have actually been as highly stylized as Modern Warfare??? I can see that this season has been ALOT different than last season, I agree to that much, but every episode isn't trying to be as highly themed as Modern Warfare was.

The Professor one was pretty highly stylised as a noir episode, I wouldn't exactly call it a non-themed episode.

I only counted four theme episodes in Season 2. Space episode, Zombie episode , conspiracy episode, and the Christmas episode. It's not as bad as everyone thinks.

I'd say bottle episode would count. It wouldn't normally be so, but the episode focused so much on lampshading the bottle nature and deconstructing and parodying bottle episode storylines that it was definitely a themed episode, just as the zombie episode did so with zombie storylines.

That makes five, and that's five out of eleven episode, which is a considerable ratio.

Agreed. While there have been more theme episodes, it hasn't gotten in the way of the characters or the narrative. It has yet to feel forced, so until then, I'm just gonna enjoy them.

Why should anyone complain about the theme episodes? They're still hilarious anyway.

I loved the trampoline ep. Especially at the end when they showed all the clips of why he was racist.

Those have been the the best of the season, and some of the best of the series. No problem with them. The show may not be back for a third season so they're not wasting an opportunity with the resources they have.

So true lol I don't get where all of the hate is comin from. Everything is still as great as it was in the first season, maybe even a little better.

Like, they kept calling Yvette (Shirley) a major drunk during the first season commentary, and then in Troy's Birthday she's a closet drunk... hahahalmfao, how anyone cannot love this show is beyond me.

Ahh new Community!!

Brown Jamie-Lee Curtis...

LOL

Best laugh I've had since this show went into break. I need this show back so bad, there just isn't anything this good...

Its like a Fountain of Youth, everything bad washes away and you feel great after the credits. Wonderful episode that had some drama but plenty of laughs. And with that the season is half over and this episode provided many memorable moments. Was hoping it was Annie at the end. If they're going to do it, do it well.

"Celebrity Pharmacology January 27, 2011 episode 13 of 24
Señor Chang intervenes to keep Pierce from ruining Annie's middle school anti-drug production.

"Early 21st Century Romanticism" February 3, 2011 episode 14 of 24
During Valentine's Day, Abed and Troy compete over the college librarian. Britta befriends a female student who she thinks is gay. Jeff is forced to throw a party at his apartment when Professor Duncan (John Oliver) invites himself over to watch a soccer game.

wicked Cosby reference lol, was cool to see closure so soon on Shirley's pregnancy too.

Amazing 'NON THEMED' episode, as per usual.

Haha omg I didnt realize that cosby reference until now!! Thats so awesome

Anyways I loved the ending! I thought he was talking to annie LOL

I knew right off the bat he was talking to Rich. I've seen enough eps to know that's not the direction they would take it.

I thought he was talking to Chang and was going to let him into the group.

So I was looking for a Cosby reference. Hoping they'd comment on his Cosby sweater he was wearing. But if they made any reference to Cosby I missed it. What was it?

Jeff compliments the sweater and he says he got it from his Dad.

Oh. Well crap. I was even looking for the compliment and completely missed it! Must've been when my girlfriend was talking to me.
