Because they combined superhero action w/period films, which don't blend well. And Alec became so immersed in playing the Shadow that he brought that same level of intensity to Lamont Cranston. You gotta turn it off sometime.

You can't??? I would name a bunch of movies that no one likes that I do, but I can see why people don't like them.

I can't understand why everyone is turning against Batman '89 since BB came out. '89 is still pretty good.

and I can't understand why nobody else thinks House of the Dead is funny.

And I'd like to add Punisher.

PUNISHER?

booooooooooooooooo except the fight with the russian was badass and the lead is cast perfectly, but Ja'mon! that movie just seriously needs a director's cut or something.

I'll add ROCKETEER. This is a wonderful film. i wish it'd get a sequel.

Actually, there are quite a few Hook fans here. And rightfully so. Hook kicks all kinds of ass.

Indeed. Good form, ol' matty.

I think a lot of the mutiny stems from the fact that Burton's Batman evolved into Schumacher's Batman, & people tend to throw the baby out w/the bathwater. I only have these real problems w/the original film.
1-we never really got to know Bruce Wayne, as the focus was mainly on the Joker.
2-he didn't seem to really have his mission defined. He would kill, he wouldn't kill. He watched the mugging in the first scene from a safe distance rather than stop it, then roughed up the thugs but did nothing to ensure they would still be on the rooftop when the cops got there.
3-it seemed like once he met Vicki, his judgement went out the window. They go on one date, he taps it one time & now he's ready to tell his most guarded secret to a JOURNALIST who's only in town to learn about BATMAN. That's not very smart.
4-I didn't like the idea of the Joker being the one who killed Bruce's parents. It's a nice twist in a one-shot film but hurts it as a franchise.

Now I do, but CINO does have its share of defenders, for some odd reason.

Strange. I've never met one.

The Lost World. Being a fan of the original I loved Jeff Goldblums character & that 1 other small cameo was good in the Movie thats about it

I loved the Lost world... still do, I guess.

Because it was full of stereotype humor & stereotype humor is getting old.

It is getting a directors cut. It will be out in November.
