WOAH WOAH WOAH!

Does this mean War Machine is getting an ongoing effectively?

Dan, you are the MAN.

The pre-orders on this book must be through the roof for this change.

Oh my god. We're finally going to get a good Avengers title again. This is cause for much celebration.

Reposting my reply from The Punisher's topic.

Another Dan Slott ongoing? Sweet. Hopefully it sells as well as Marvel seems to think it will.

Those covers look nice. Spider-Man vs. Hydro-Man, Boomerang, and Shocker? Cool. Also nice to see Shocker survived PWJ #4, as suspected. Some of these new characters look more interesting than the generic NEW WARRIORS bunch and hopefully Justice will be done, um, justice. Couldn't resist.

Good news.

Oh my God! That's awesome.

Congratz Dan!

i think it's an avengers book in name only. this book serves to explore the 50 state initiative.

so a book that stars a bunch of no name kids calling themselves "the champions" is more of an avengers book than new avengers?

:down

That would work, if the Champions were a main part of A:TI.

Check out the new abbreviation.:oldrazz:

Yes, actually. Because at least they'll be doing Avengers-y things like saving lives during natural disasters, taking on Bond Villain wannabes, and halting alien invasions and other such catastrophes. Plus, it should have plenty of Avengers mainstays in it, judging by the look of tjings.

Hmmmm,I have no intention of picking up any of Bendis' Avengers books.

So this is definitely good news,I can't see a book like this dropping out of the top 50 or 60.

well considering how on the 3 covers that have been shown so far, the champions are the only constant, i think it's safe to assume they're taking up a large chunk of the book.

while that's true, i see new avengers (post civil war) as being the lone avengers team that actually has something to avenge.

that said, i think mighty avengers will have that old-school classic avengersy feel to it, and that's why i'm picking it up.

It's a shame that the War Machine armor has returned to being essentially a gray and white clone of Iron Man's armor, but Jim Rhodes is inside of it and he now essentially has his own ongoing series again, so that's all that matters to me. Justice and Yellowjacket are icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to the Initiative even more now.

To be honest,Caselli's art would look a hell of alot better with a different colorist.

That is bordering on fan art coloring right there.

i was thinking the EXACT same thing. if marvel wants this series to last (and it looks they do), they'll find a better colorist.

who colored his work on the runaways/ya mini?

I said I wouldn't read New Avengers, but when the time came I decided to give it a shot and it was a great read. Not going to judge Mighty Avengers yet, since I didn't read it.
