Really liked the episode. The girl was good as well. Just disappointed they didn't kill the first one, so when he says that everyone who gets close to him dies. It would have some meaning.

More please.

Another really good episode. Didn't have the pacing issues I had with the pilot. I still wish they'd turn up the brightness a little bit.

Well, most of them do. Other are either lucky to survive him and his follies in one piece or either disemboweled, shot, have their head on spikes, trapped in Shadow London with the Smilers or have a demon hijack your morbidly obese friend who harbored Aleister Crowley in his body.

*I know, awful lot of back issue references in this post

My one knock on this show thus far is that I kinda don't like that it's set here in 'Murica.

Hopefully once the ratings pick up further and more eppies can be ordered, they might go overseas. Hopefully to Liverpool so we can see Cheryl and Gemma

Definitely this. Kinda makes me wish the BBC would've picked this up.

Speaking of characters that could show up, is Etrigan on the table?

Definite improvement over the last episode. Zed is definitely an improvement as well.

Or have an arrangement with BBCAmerica for rebroadcasting rights to where they can fit the bill and acommodations for UK filming.

Not sure about Etrigan though it may be possible seeing as we're getting Corrigan i Ep. 5 and someone claiming the Helmet of Fate later down the line if things go in the show's favor ratings-wise

It makes me sad that certain channels in my country aren't leaping on to comic book properties. BBC could have nailed this, or even Channel 4.

Especially the BBC. They showed Lois and Clark, for feck sake!

Whereas the pilot didn't really leave much of an impression on me, this episode was much much better. Better paced, better plot etc etc. My only SLIGHT nitpick, and I bet this is an unpopular opinion, is I feel like Matt Ryan could be having a LITTLE bit more fun with the role. I'm not an expert on Constantine but the comics I have read with him in it show him as more snarky, sarcastic and laissez faire than Matt Ryan's version. I'd like to see more of that side of Constantine because as of now I feel like Ryan plays it pretty straight and serious. Hopefully as he grows into the role he'll have more fun with it.

I liked the pilot, too, but it suffered from pacing issues. Tonight's episode greatly improved on that --- you could actually take time to see the suspense build and savor key moments.

Zed's great, too. Already some nice sexual tension there between her and Constantine, and she's a hottie.

Very solid episode. I'm definitely subscribed.
