It was just a joke photoshoot - LIFE magazine got a bunch of actors to put on silly masks and you had to guess who was who.

This was the mask-less picture:

Which, as I've said before, shows some signs of weight-loss. There's also a picture in this month's OK! magazine where he was apparently looking very thin but nobody seems to have a scan of it yet. The point being - massive props for his dedication. I never thought he absolutely had to lose weight (since he's hardly a big bloke anyway) but, like I said, nice that he cares enough to do it anyway.
