Corona and other diseases

Coronavirus update: Both my mom and I still have a little bit of a dry cough but were cleared to go back to work today. With the way both our work schedules are set up our first day back won't be until next week so it gives us a little bit of extra time. Dad still hasn't shown any symptoms but he is still required to be quarantined for another week.
Glad you're both doing well, hope your dad comes out okay. :)

They're all going to get sick.

More importantly, they'll probably get a bunch of unsuspecting, innocent people sick. If someone wants to be a stupid idiot and they get themselves sick, fine. If you then go out and get others sick, that's criminal. What goes on in some people's brains baffles me.

And honestly, while I'd feel bad for plenty of them, they aren't my main concern. It is all the other people actually trying to do their best, who accidentally touches the same doorknob or the same stack of toilet paper, and gets sick and/or spreads it. These are the clowns that hurt the rest of society.

I think we need more straws....

Yeah, it is pretty much a guarantee that they are all from the west side of the state, that so far hasn't been effected too much. Luckily, it sounds like most of them stayed in their car, so that should hopefully help. I fear when if the exponential growth hits outside of the east side of the state.

But, then again, there were confederate flags flying. In a rally in Michigan. So, you know, probably a good chunk are happy with who the virus is killing in MI.

I am sorry, SB. I don't know where you are up there SB, I but I hope you and yours are able to stay safe. Thankfully where I live it seems the vast majority seem to understand what is going on. You see people on the streets, but it is few and far between and the crowds at store openings have pretty much vanished.

Confederate flags......in Michigan......and here I never knew Michigan was part of the confederacy. :o I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that these people are flat out bigots....

There is a noticeable down tick in traffic. Still a lot of medical related manufacturing, so not quite dead, but all indications are that people are mainly taking it seriously. Still a few without masks when I went shopping this afternoon, though. My main concern from getting sick is from my roommates, who both have recently showed some bad judgement.

I mean, you start seeing them a lot more when you get north, into the more rustic parts of the state. Which sounds so, so oxymoronic.

I am sorry about the roommates. I hope they get their heads on straight before it effects you. We got lucky when it comes to masks. One of our neighbors knows someone, so he has been able to get them to us and other neighbors. He calls and leaves them by the door, in mask and gloves. Such a good person. But my brother did mention seeing a few out without them, and it is frustrating.

Moving during a pandemic is going to be an adventure.

Yeah. I read about that earlier. Just be extra careful regarding cleaning. You might even consider a refrigerator in your room. I'd even lock it. It may cause some tension, but it will hopefully add to your chances of staying clean. It's hard to know how to handle a situation like this because different people respond to different messaging. You know them and probably know how to handle it best. I really, really hope this works out for you.

As soon as feasible, you need to get away from those people. You don't need this.

Best.....

A lady interviewed actually complained about not being able to go to a hair salon to dye her grey hair and another typically playing the rights card no matter what including a damn virus such as this one.

Peaceful protest my ass! They'll be resting in peace if they keep being so ignorant
The guy at the beginning legitimately gets choked up about lawn fertilizer. If he really needs it, can't he order and have it sent to his house or something? Or is he the kind of guy who gets his social interaction walking around the local stores? I understand this is probably really hard on him, but this is not the answer.

Lawn fertilizer? Well, no wonder. If I couldn't get my lawn fertilizer, that would be the last straw. I mean, what would the neighbors think if my lawn wasn't nice and green? Were these people dropped on their heads repeatedly as children?

Anyway, I think I'm done obsessing about this.

Chris Cuomo is interviewing Andrew Cuomo and just said despite all their efforts at keeping apart his wife is positive too.

People get obsessed with their lawn. I don't get it.

Ugh. I hope she gets through it okay. The more you hear about what might come with even mild symptoms, it just sounds way scarier then even a few weeks ago.

I know very little about lawn care, but I swear it is snowing in that video. So can you do that kind of stuff when your lawn is covered in snow?

Some people just still aren't ready to embrace digital ways. That man is probably the type that likes going to a diner everyday where he chats it up with other locals he knows. Enjoys being out in his community and doing work stuff at home just because

Which I completely get. But right now just ain't the time.

Any word on her condition? If my wife and I were both positive, at least I'd feel better about being able to have and provide companionship, but I'd damn well talk to a doctor first and make sure it was okay.
