What do you think of the costumes?

  • PERFECT!

  • They're good, they could have been alittle more faithful.

  • They work I guess.

  • I hate them.

Everyone looks great, especially Nite Owl (minus the exposed zipper lines of course and it would have been cool if they used leather for the feathers), but Ozymandias should have been brighter in colors, not dark. The nipples, I really don't mind, because that is representative of Roman armor, which is what they are going for. At least the nipples are just cut ovals, as opposed to B&R, where the nipples were on top of the armor. Otherwise, his costume looks great.

Overall, good job.

I agree.I just wonder if the general public will look at it as some new goofy superhero film or if they will look into the source material

At first they will, but if the trailers showcase the seriousness, then they won't.

I actually like the visible zippers.

me too. love the zippers. i wish "the seams" showed even more on a nite owls costume. just a tad too polished imo. and maybe a bit too modern as well (although it is a much more technologically advanced 1985 in the books so maybe not). but overall i think they did a great job translating.

They all look pretty ****ing badass considering what a mess this could have been. Nite Owl especially looks great, I really like the changes. Ozzy could have looked better, but he still doesn't look terrible.

Costumes are good. But have any of the actors shown any range besides Patrick Wilson and Jackie Earl Haley?

I love Ozymandias. He is my favorite character in literature, and a great inspiration to many stories I write. My biggest concern in this film (outside of Dr. Manhattans glorious glowing penis - a must have) is how Ozymandias would be portrayed. Would he look faithful, act faithful and would the brilliance and depth of the character be easily brought over to film.

If his costume shown is any sign - I love where Snyder is going. I think it is an improvement on the comic original honestly.

The Bat Nipples are glorious.

I like the costumes, every character is represented pretty well. Ozymandius doesnt look as powerful as he should in this picture, but the guy looks like he should be able to get that confidence across through "acting". The only thing I dont really like is the Comedian's mask, I wish it reminded me just a little less of Robin's, its too pointy at parts, but overall the outfit is impressive. Whoa!

I don't hate these designs. People, these characters are supposed to look freaking ridiculous in their attempts to dress up as superheroes. That's half the point of the costumes and the themes associated with them. They are dressing up in outlandish costumes and trying to be superheroes. With Ozymandias and Nite Owl, it almost looks like they're poking fun on the "overdone" nature of modern movie superhero costumes, specifically the THE DARK KNIGHT Batsuit. And I love that.

The Comedian looks fantastic. I'm actually surprised they were so faithful to the design, hair, etc.

Nite Owl looks a bit techy, but he also look fantastic given the context of the suit. I'm glad they wised up and went for brown and dark brown as opposed to brown and gray. I miss the headdress, but I think I can see why they abandoned it. Someone said he looks edgier. He doesn't look any edgier, he looks like a TOOL who is trying to look edgy. And that's the entire point. I love love love that they included his "zipper redesign" so he can go to the bathroom. Ten bucks he doesn't have that in flashbacks.

Rorschach looks great.

Laurie looks all right. Kind of reminds of of a bumblebee. I wish we could see more leg.

Not sold on Ozymandias. I don't care about the nipples, as that's a reflection on period armor. But he looks a bit too "Tim Burton villain", and I'm just not used to seeing him look that dark and morose. It looks like he's wearing a purple cloak, though, and that portions of his armor are purple and gold. It could work in the right lighting.

Archie looks great.

I don't hate these designs. As Moore's costume designs poked fun at conventional superhero fare, so do these poke fun at modern superhero designs. Remember, this is a world with Dr. Manhattan and advanced techniques and materials. Costumes and clothing looking updated and even "techy" isn't so far out there.

This is my favorite story of all time I was skeptical at first for that reason but those look perfect. Only questionable one is Veidt but when you think of how Ozymandias views himself it fits. I now have a lot of faith in this movie. Seems like Snyder may have pulled off the impossible with a very good Moore adaptation (the V for Vendetta movieadaptationsucked IMO)we'll see.

i disliked LXG but I thought V for Vendetta, From Hell and Constantine ranged from awesome to freakin sweet

Ok... I get the complaints about the costume, but look at Ozy's eyes. The dude is far gone. I love it.
