No, I'd rather they stuck with the simple comic look instead of making them look like pop culture 90's superheroes.

And the changes really aren't that big.
So let me ask you a question. Are you happy with Nolan's Joker? Because if you are, then that's the dumbest breach in logic and taste in HISTORY.
That Joker SUCKS if you're a purist. He's NOT a hobo, bum, smelly-looking, disfigured ass.
But we hear about how AWESOME and REVOLUTIONARY he looks. Then we come here and talk about Ozy and it's "NIPPLES! I'm OUTTA HERE!"
That dude even has the belly...Thats exactly how it looked in the comic..![]()
t:Not in Spider-Man and Fantastic Four movies, imo. That's because for the 100th time - SPANDEX LOOKS TERRIBLE ON SCREEN.
And in regards to spandex comments, though in the Spider-man and Fantastic Four movies they looked like spandex, they weren't made of spandex.
costume for manhattan or cgi?
Exactly. And the real problem is all the rubber, which simply wasn't an effective costuming mechanism in the 1960s/70s. They really should have tried to make the Nite Owl costume out of cloth/leather.Doesn't really look like something that would have existed in the early 70s though, does it?
lol I my statement agrees with you.
I never said they were, but with how costumes are drawn on characters in comics, spandex is the first thing that comes to mind. And I don't recall really any comics going too in-depth about what their costumes are made out of.
True. But the Nolan Batman suit(s) do look like something that was more cobbled together. Especially THE DARK KNIGHT suit, with its cloth foundation. Something like that would have been effective here, rather than this very polished presentation. I was hoping for something rougher around the edges.and to be an advocate of the new batman films I feel that they have addressed the issue of a real man wearing spandex into battle. (that and the x-men flick)
What were they calling him? Blue guy?
