I would certainly appreciate if you got rid of them.

Comedian:Perfect.

Night Owl:Not what I was Expecting, but It Works. It looks as Cheesy as The Comic version which is great.

Ozymandias:Eh,I'm not too fond of this.It looks kind of like Batman meets Superman.I'm not feeling it that much.Maybe It's the Pose.

Silk Spectre: It looks good. Can't really see much from the pose she is in.From what I can see It looks nice.

Rorshach:See Comedian.

Any Wallpapers yet?

Awesome! I have to say, I am really digging these pics. I was very hesitant about Snyder directing this (since 300 is a piece of garbage) but the more I see and read...the more I am warming to this project.

They seem to have given everyone a more sleek, menacing look which I think will work well on the big screen. As much as I adore and revere the graphic novel, I think that some of those designs for the character costumes might look a bit goofy when being transposed to the big screen. But it seems like they have done a great job making them different but also staying true to the characters.

The Comedian: Great. It looks dead on.

Nite Owl: Seems a lot more menacing and edgier. And the owl like pattern of the suit is kept the same. Very cool.

Ozymandias: At first I was not a big fan of this costume. But on closer inspection it is an exact copy of a very detailed statue of a Pharaoh.

Rorschach: Bingo!

Silk Spectre: Again, more sleek and sexy. But definitely badass...

You beat me to it ctmarvelman but I did a quick recolor as well. Just tried to make the colors a bit more like his costume in the comic with the purple and gold.

The More I look at it, the more I realize its not that bad, its the way they shopped the background and contrasted it out. It looks like a hard armor version of Ozys comic attire.

Spolier!!!!???????

anyone mentioned the owl-a-rang on nightowls belt, we still getting that ending???

RyaJ did a pretty good manip there. He looks alright now.

Which ending is this?

They're not doing the comic book ending!?

BLASPHEMY :cmad:

Its an old draft where Dan throws his rang and fights with Adi and adi gets the better and is just gonna kill him says something like "why u choose an owl" Dan replies "you never hear it coming" Bang owl a rang straight into Adi kills him

Something like that anyway like i said its an old draft.

I apologize if this is a silly question, but all the paint dashed about in these pictures.. that's because these are press photos? or is snyder coming up with something comic book-esque for the film itself?

I think Ozy is just in a bad pose to, it's a poorly composed picture all around...
He'll look just fine on screen

The rest are all completely perfect though... I don't know who was pissin and moanin on the front page about them, but they obviously don't know Watchmen...

wow im really digging the costumes the Comedian looks great and Rorschach is dead on and the others costumes look great imo too

The nipples are on the wrong costume. :cmad

Other than that the costumes look good. Rorschach looks kickass!

I think Dan's suit looks great. It looks like it is armored, which would be very realistic considering he is only human and bullets and knives could potentially kill him. I dont think Veidts suit looks that bad, however I think Goode looks incredibly awkward in it and way to scrawny.

Doesn't really look like something that would have existed in the early 70s though, does it?

It's interesting to me the that 2 of the characters from the book who wore the closest to traditional 'spandex' type costumes there have been given Batman style make-overs for this film: Nite-Owl's costume has similar aspects to Nolan's Batman body armor, and Veidt...well, his is even campier than Schumackers wildest fantasies.

Yeah, but that's very deliberate.

Gibbons' Niteowl design is based directly of of Batman. It clearly just swaps the bat theme for an owl one. It makes a certain kind of sense that the movie version of Niteowl look a bit like the movie version of Batman - he's a Batman analogue.

It's just that, as I said above, it's a bit too slick to have existed in the 70s, and for Dan to have made it himself.

And Veidt also deliberately references the Batman suits in a different way - emphasizing the fetishism and excess of them.
