Could the hype be an alibi?

I was thinking about this recently. You can kill someone at your house, type something at the hype, drop off the body somewhere else, and tell cops that you were at the hype during the time of the murder.

Yes, it can, but not airtight.

If you're arrested for murder, for instance, you could prove that you were not at the scene of the crime at the time of murder by showing the time of your posts and the corresponding IP address.

But that only proves that someone using your account was posting from your house at the time of the murder. However, if you can prove that it is in no way possible that anyone other than yourself can access your account, then you have an alibi.

Of course the Hype can be used as an alibi. Just ask Dew! ;)

Yeah I also believe that posting on a forum would stand up in court in the same way that emails do, but Road Warrior would probably need need extra evidence to tighten his/her alibi.

We could be assisting a murderer here :(
