What about Zelda? It's pretty much mandatory.

My launch package came to approximately $700 I think. Maybe more. $800+ if you count the non-Nintendo stuff I needed to get too.

Nintendo Wii Console
Wii Remote (extra)
Wii Nunchuk (extra)
SD Memory Card 2GB
Remote-Controlled Component Selector (All my other component ports were all maxed out)
Wireless Router (The room I wanted my Wii in gets terrible reception on my existing router, so I needed a second)
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball Blitz
Need for Speed: Carbon
Excite Truck
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and of course
Twilight Princess
Controller Gloves
Classic Controller
Wii Points Card (yet to buy, but I'm prepared to spend approx $50)
Wii Component Cable (yet to buy, but it should be around $35)

I think that's about everything I bought for my Wii. Well, I got another set of wireless headphones too, and I upgraded my home theater set up, but I can't say that was just for my Wii. I'd of done that sooner or later without it.

Also, yes... I'm really excited. :cmad:

That's a sweet start up pack Kip....mine isn't quite that large:

Wii package
Trauma Center
Excite Truck
Raymond: Raving Rabbids
Wii-mote (Extra)
Nunchuck (Extra)
Point card - also figuring about 50 bucks
Classic Controller
Metroid Prime 1 & 2 for gamecube
Gamecube controller:woot:

Nintendo Wii (hopefully on launch day)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Call of Duty 3
2GB SD card
Classic Controller
Controller Gloves (already got 'em)

Since my mom was giving me crap about getting a lot of stuff on Friday, I'll save these for Christmas

Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Excite Truck
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Red Steel (pending reviews)
Splinter Cell: Double Agent (pending reviews)
Need for Speed: Carbon (pending reviews)
Far Cry: Vengeance (pending reviews)

Mine's pretty basic.

Wii
Twilight Princess
Spare Controller and Nunchuck

Really, who needs another game when you have a 70+ hour epic on your hands?

That's exactly what I got. Wii sports and Zelda should be enough and provide hours of fun. I don't know how some of you are going to have time to play all these games your getting.

I probably won't even open most of them until I need a break from Zelda, or just have some friends over and wanna try something else. I was thinking about getting Trauma Center, Elebits and Madden '07 as well, but I'll wait on reviews for those three.

I'm actually not getting Zelda right away. I want to try some of the lesser titles first.

I'm sure I'll be quite busy with Excite Truck, Trauma Center, and Wii Sports for a while.

Plus I'm getting Elebits as soon as it's available.

Not to mention quite a few retro titles. I'm going to be in Nintendo heaven for quite a while.:woot:

For some reason, I'm really looking forward to getting Bonk's Adventure. :csad:

not getting Zelda immediately

You disappoint me :(

Yeah I heard from a friend that one of the big guys at Nintendo played at least 10 hours of Twilight Princess and said that he barely scratched the surface of the game...HOLY CRAP!!!

Like we've mentioned before, great minds think alike, Jaydawg. :cwink:

I'm going to wait for Wii play to get the extra wiimote and nunchuk. I'll pick up the classic controller when I go to get some Wii points after Thanksgiving.

I'm really glad Nintendo didn't wait to launch the Wii on Black Friday.

Matt from IGN played the 10 hrs. and he said the game is massive. They played 10 hrs. and only reached the 2nd temple. I figured this was going to be the case, so I just got Zelda. That's enough to satisfy me. And Wii sports should provide fun for me and friends.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I can't wait. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes and showing off the Wii to family who thought video games would never be for them. This will be the most memorable Thanksgiving since the Puritans first broke bread and celebrated for the first time.

I may be separated from my Wii on Thanksgiving since I may visit my family in Pennsylvania.

That'd be rude. Especially since it's the side of the family I like.

You can always invite them to play with you, provided you have extra Wiimotes for WiiSports.

Anyway, 14 days until launch. To absolutely ensure I'm getting a Wii, I, for the first time ever, will be waiting outside Target a few days early. Once the PS3 crowd get their systems, I'll be there to take the first spot for Wii. Here is my launch list:
  • Wii
  • Twilight Princess
  • Excite Truck
  • Red Steel
  • Trauma Center: Second Opinion
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids
  • Elebits
  • Wiimote + Nunchuck
  • SD Card
  • Wii Points Card
I've already bought controller gloves. And if I can savange enough cash, I'm definitely picking up Super Monkey Ball, as that game has received a lot of praise.

None of them are getting a Wii? Or at least play video games?

I'm having family over at my house for Christmas dinner. I'm hoping to get some of them playing Wii Sports.

Nope. My 3 cousins I will visit are in their mid-late 20's (24, 27, and 28) and have pretty much no interest in video games anymore. They'd think its cool but would pass if I offered them a chance to play. If Duck Hunt Wii was out, my uncle would try it since he hunts.

GG, are you waiting Friday and Saturday? I could never wait outside THAT long.

Yes, I plan on waiting outside Friday afternoon. I'll probably change shifts between my friends.

I wish I had more friends willing to wait in line for one. I just have one friend who is willing to.

I'm going to go up into the mountains and attempt to freeze myself until the release day.
