there is a site called plentyoffish.com or something to that effect, my bud has been on it for a few weeks but hasn't yielded any results save for a lot of pig disgusting girls messaging him.

Thing is that there are a lot of hot girls on there, yet I'm guessing they get their inbox flooded.

Have you tried Meetup.com yet? There tends to be more females than men at events, be it adventure, movie, art or what have you. I've been trying to convince my male friends to join my movie group, I've been getting more female turn out since August.

Oh and I think there's a theater group, I know you're into that.

I put up an ad on CL many moons ago...will not be making that mistake again. Or rather, will not be making my ad particularly witty or funny or free of grammatical errors, because I got like, literally a thousand emails in the first 24 hours. I only wish I was kidding.

I had to filter out 98% of the emails, mostly because it was painfully obvious they didn't read through my schpiel. (I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or go to clubs, so don't mention that you'd like to do any of the above with me!) I also only put up a side/back photo of myself, since I'm leery of putting up my actual face online, but when I sent some face pics to the guys I emailed back, a lot of them never responded. I must be ugly.

Aaaanyways, I went on 5 or so dates from that insanity and nothing serious ever came of it, but I must have a good intuition about people because none of those 5 guys were particularly creepy.

But yeah, from my experience, it's mostly lonely guys who frequent online dating sites. It's a fun way to meet interesting people, but don't be afraid to filter out people you get a creepy vibe from. That's why it starts online.

i never thought ppl actually used craigs list for hooking up. ive also never heard of any of these other dating sites except for eHarmony cuz the commercial is on all the time.
