Okay, so, here's the scoop. Doctor Destiny, with the help of hus older half brother Alex Burgess, manages to defeat Daniel, the lord of dreams, in a battle of wills and usurp his role as the personification of all dreams and creativity in the universe, and uses this power over the minds of mortals to keep Daniel's elder sister, Death, from doing anything about it. However, Daniel's youngest sister, Delirium, decides to take action and bring together Earth's remaining heroes to stop Doctor Destiny. However, due to his immediately taking the entire Justice League prisoner within their own dreams, she only manages to bring together these guys:
John Constantine, occult detective and con artist.
Shade The Changing Man, alien poet and renegade.
Swamp Thing, elemental spirit of the Earth.
Lucifer, former ruler of bad place.
Animal Man, suburban dad and part-time super hero.
Hob Gadling, immortal BFF of the Lord of Dreams before Daniel and idle rich barfly.
Crazy Jane, a mentally ill super hero with multiple personalities that each have their own super power.
Dorothy Spinner, a young physically deformed psychic girl.
With their base of operations, Danny The Street, an extra dimensional sentient transexual city street.
John Constantone gives this team their name.
