The rules here are very loose. So go for whatever you like. It's all in good clean fun! :)
Nobody said it should be heroes, right?
So I go with more "villain types":

Sauron
Voldemort
Darth Vader
White Witch
Queen of Hearts
Hook
Wicked Witch of the West
&
the whole Fire Nation

If you want a pure comic book villain team:

Brainiac
Mr Freeze
Ares
Zoom
Sinestro
Ocean Master
Green Goblin
Victor van Doom
The Mandarin
Loki
Red Skull
Magneto

Both teams would be impossible to stop :)
Even Dr Manhattan would fail. How could he possible dodge all the powers of one group?

Wolverine
Iron Man
Batman
Superman
Punisher
Blade
Green Arrow

Slash & Gash

Wolverine
Freddy Krueger
Jason Voorhees
The Cenobites from the Hellraiser movies.
Predator

VS

Candyman
Pumpkinhead
Robocop
Terminator
The creatures from Nightbreed.
The Alien

The Monster Hunters

Buffy Summers
Blade
Sam & Dean Winchester

Greatest American Hero - that's the name given to the mk ultra program. He would be active with something more media savvy. Kind of looks like Bradley Cooper from American Sniper. He had been a teacher but was quickly recruited by the military and leveraged into becoming a symbol of American exceptionalism. He's often at odds with his handlers. But the suit is bonded to him on a molecular level. So they can't just arrange an accident and give the alien weaponry to a good soldier.

Mighty Isis - also a name that will probably be altered. But she's an Egyptian woman imbued with enough godly power to be a game changer. She's their Wonder Woman.

Manimal - grizzled Phillip Winchester type who has employed his ability to take on animal traits in a decade of mercenary work - currently trying to get back on the side of angels

Accelerator - a child prodigy named Quinn Mallory who gained a limited ability to manipulate time (in practice, he operates mainly as a speedster) I the process of thwarting his mentor Samuel Beckett's insane attempt to become a god. Kind of Jared Padaleckish in appearance but more of an underdog personality wise.

[i'm no good at naming] - Dr Elvin Lincoln created an implant that allows him to grow or shrink at will. He's just a tall lanky version of 90s Tony Todd or an older version of Malachi Kirby.

Electra-Woman and Dyna-Girl - join this group after spending years as a crimefighting duo. They started out in the science division of [fictional shield like organization] creating exotic weaponry for field agents before graduating to that level themselves. I don't have a look in mind. They are the youngest of the group. They have an array of powers unique to themselves but all technology derived.

Wild man and Bigfoot - a feral kid raised by a pack of sasquatch. They (the kid and his surrogate squatch brother) were found at some point and raised to be a seriously formidable cleanup team. Wild Man is like a blonde Appalachian version of Winter Soldier (minus the metal arm). He and Bigfoot know how to mask their presence simulating invisibility.

They're financed by a wheelchair-bound wealth industrialist Machiavellian type named Miles Hawkins who may be spending his nights running around doing the vigilante thing in an exoskeletal armor.
