Critics' Reviews: Discussion

I don't know how I feel about Singer directing Deadpool. It would be too conservative I reckon. He would get the psychology of the character right, but I dunno about the humour/action.
he better gets deadpool to say bea arthur somewhere lol,oh ****, sorry guys R.I.P Bea. :csad:

Wolverine is now at a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. 6 Fresh 2 Rotten.

Here's one of the reviews that called "rotten".

Sucks to see that Levy didn't like it, I usually agree with his reviews. :(Can't wait to see Ebert's review though.

I respect Levy for his mustache, but I don't really agree with him that much. 67% now.

Some of those reviews are well crap on RT. I don't mean because I agree or disagree, I mean poorly written and just...crap. A couple of them ain't even reviews.

I don't think it was posted, but Variety's review is up.

Here's a snippet:

Variety said:
Heavily fortified with adamantium, testosterone and CGI, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is a sharp-clawed, dull-witted actioner that falls short of the two Bryan Singer-directed pics in the franchise but still overpowers 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand." For all its attempts to probe the physiological and psychological roots of its tortured antihero, this brawny but none-too-brainy prequel sustains interest mainly -- if only fitfully -- as a nonstop slice-and-dice vehicle for Hugh Jackman. An unfinished print leaked online weeks before the film's May 1 Stateside release will prove a mere flesh wound to Fox's B.O. haul, which should be muscular locally and abroad.

Down to 53% 5,3/10 average....and one of the rotten reviews was put down from RT so when it's back it'll be at 50%.

Not surprising after all the bad reception it received following the leak.

RT...I'm not surprised, I think the % could go either way from here, but most people are going to compare it to Iron Man and Dark Knight, In which it doesn't hold up. I'm guessing it will end up around 60%, maybe a little less, but who knows...I could never read critics.

Wow. That stinks. Low forties? Youch.

Yikes. And Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is at 11%. :wow:

It's going to be one of those weekends that annoys the critics. They hate the movies yet the wind up making a fortune anyway.

It better go up, then. They would have to try very hard to make an X-film worse than that train wreck.

there are only 18 reviews...we have no idea where it would end up at.
