Are there any movies that have come out from 2000 to now that you think have become cult classics or may become cult classics somewhere down the line?

Cloverfield. Not very popular among the general population but it has a decent fanbase. That'd make it a cult movie.

Moratorium on any Napoleon Dynamite talk, please. I dont care if it is a cult classic of this decade. The title doesnt apply when the movie blows.

It's a cult movie, Sawyer, but FAR from anything resembling a classic. I'll also include Donnie Darko with that definition.

As long as nobody brings it up. :o

I think we need to define "Cult Classic" before this goes too far.

There's no way to stop it. It was only a matter of time before people started to confuse 'cult classic' with, 'crappy movie that not many people like'.

not everyone likes or loves SM3, but it does have a fanbase.

Spider-Man 3 is a decent sequel in a fairly good franchise. It's not a Cult Classic.

Rocky Horror Picture Show is a Cult Classic. Evil Dead is a Cult Classic. Edward Scissorhands is a Cult Classic. Wrath of Khan is a Cult Classic. Mystery Men is a Cult Classic.

I could go on.

Memento
The Machinist
Inland Empire
Mulholland Drive

isnt a cult classic one that is heavily frowned upon, but a cult of people like it?
Dude. Spider-man 3 is the third movie in a well known and successful franchise of superhero movies based on even more popular comics...

Pretty much every movie David Lynch has made this decade.

Donnie Darko
Idiocracy
Boondock Saints
Office Space
(okay the last two where from 1999 but close enough)

No, a cult classic is a movie that most likely didn't do well at the box office and is considered by the mainstream to be a flop, which SM3 was not.
