Custom DVD covers

Hi guys and gals......I, like many others across the net, dabble in creating my own custom DVD covers. I, unlike many others across the net, ain't too good at it. I know there are some people on here who are pretty damn good with photoshop. I thought we should have a thread for people to show off their creations, and to possibly take requests to do some new covers. I am also mulling over the idea of throwing in a contest with prize for creating something special. And to make this clear....this includes blurays.....it's covers for your movies and TV shows no matter the material.

So let's start with seeing if people are interested in this idea. Come in and discuss it.

Cool.

I see it as open for all movies or TV shows...but of course having special attention towards the comic book ones. I've seen great custom covers at various sites around the net...but not many are ever posted on here. We have people with talent...we need to see some of it.

And like I said in the first post....I am considering a contest with prize for a special request cover set.

Of course. I personally have only 2 blurays at this time, but I have thousands of regular DVDs....but when I speak of DVDs in here it is inclusive of blurays (It's just the way I talk). I will go edit first post and make that clear.

Awesome....I'm just starting my bluray collection myself. I have a handful of them. I know it's a LONG time coming but if they don't have any cool covers for Batman v Superman I'd love to have a custom cover for it

I have so many regular DVDs, that it is possible when I start buying more blurays I will just put them in regular DVD boxes to keep the consistant look of things.

I know that when Raimi's SPIDER-MAN trilogy was recently released on bluray, people (me included) thought the covers were horrendous. So it would be nice to see someone come up with great looking bluray covers for them.

This is the kind of thing I would like to see people do on here. Show your skills, share ideas and pics and such....and help out some other non artful Hypsters.

Put a pencil in my hand...I'm a pretty good artist....when it comes to photoshopping pictures or adding text....I suck big time. I have made several custom covers for movies that I have recorded myself (no official release covers)....and they are pretty bad.

Can someone make a Blu-Ray cover for X-Men: Days of Future Past. The front and back that is used in the Best Buy Ultimate Edition with the Sentinels in the back and the silhouette of the X-Men in the foreground is fine. But with a different spine than the one released. Can it be made so that the title on the spine is more in line with the original trilogy's layout?

So that when they all line up, they look like they are a series and Mystique and Logan's face's aren't on one flick and the rest of them are all uniform.
