Yeah, like Spider Jay is saying, make a character that there is a lot of demand for. Emma Frost, Rogue, and Jean Grey also come to mind.

And do your customs have paint rub issues? Many times inexperienced customizers don't know how to fix paint rub and as a result, the paint comes right off the customs when they are posed.

how hard - can customising be???? I have just decided to give it a go myself - thinking a frank miller batman ml scale, is that popular?

I'd rather see a more current look, myself. Like Tony Daniel, Adam Kubert or even Jim Lee style but give it a shot. Frank Miller doesn't do anything for me, but I'm sure someone'll dig it.

First custom? Customizing takes lots of practice. Since you sound like you are planning to sell it, don't get discouraged if it doesn't sell. Most ML collectors are very picky and want customs to be top notch and look like factory figures.

spidey dude, i donthinkive seen many miller bats, and jim lees batman characters from hush have been made into their own seires already, but its makes for common fodder in parts etc. i've got a wwe deluse bane on teh way

I wouldnt sell it unless i thought it was top notch, Im not looking for a quick buck or anything, I find creating things fun to be honest - I have a background in art and design and I used to have to do sculptures as part of one of my courses, so while its my first custom it wont be completely new to me (i have all the materials already,the right clay, paints, primer and fixer) anyway Ill post how its going regardless of quality

clay may not b the right stuff to do, apoxies are best, i use epxie putyy, i use it to attach a balljoint from the mutating hulk onto the spidey body, i fill holes sculpt certain objects etc all in epoxy putty

I like Aves Apoxie Sculpt (with an 'A'). Works AMAZING! much better than all other Epoxys and Clays I have used.

im to cheap to buy aves but all my customs that invlove sculpting are done in epoxie putty, and when you asked to see some stuff that was sculpted the undisplayed red skull has a resculpted head, bane had his boots sculpted over hulks toes and the upcoming bane, whos head icant find, has his pants sculpted over his boots

I was wondering if anyone would be up to making a NECA level Splinter for TMNT? I would love to have him to go with my Turtles. I've tried customizing but am really bad at it.

The NECA line looks like it might be dead. It all depends on how April sells from what I'm understanding. Which is a real pitty. There are so many awsome comic characters that have never seen the light of day as figures and they have been doing such a wonderful job.

sory atg, aint got around to it yet and my desk has been taken over by my insight school stuff, so when i get around to them they will have a new back ground, ive been pretty busy, and if you want to you could still sue this thread, i dont mnd, i started at first to get commisions but now were mainly talking customizing in general so it fine with me
