CD Projeckt Red Cyberpunk 2077

I am willing to give them a chance. Especially after that Eurogamer video I posted. But taking away the option seems incredibly unnecessary.

Meh? Makes complete sense, tbh.
I would suggest he play the Max Payne series, if he really believes that. :cwink:

Also, plenty of third person games don't have 360 view. Actually, most shooters don't. Look at the new Resident Evil 2.

Max Payne example doesn't fit in either cases. Storytelling approach is different, gameplay is different.

The gameplay is difference because of perspective. But the effect could totally be the same, just with better gameplay. I do find it interesting they don't want to call it a FPS, when that is the main thing you will do in terms of combat.

Gameplay of Max Payne is designed around dodging bullets - it requires TPP. And something tells me narrative is designed around that cinematic effect. Or maybe it was inspired by comics, so TPP makes total sense here. So the whole game feels like you're watching a neo-noir revenge film or reading a graphic novel.

Why would I call a TPS "FPS"?

so they said we can choose gender of character.

does that mean there will be an actual character creator ( even though the game is first person )?

I cannot wait to play it then. I love creating my own character and being able to see a diverse range of romances is very cyberpunk and yet hasn’t been done yet if that makes sense. At least mainstream

I don't love creating my own characters, because no matter how hard you or anyone else tries, it never lives up to the quality of good pre-existing characters, designed by professionals. But I'm still curious about it.

I prefer playing as an existing character as it allows a much better narrative. But I also like being able to create characters for exploring the game world and becoming an uber badass after experiencing the main story as it was meant to be experienced with a character like the Geralt or Shepard.

An audio leak of the full gameplay demo has been leaked.

Sounds like you could spend hours browsing the weapons seller's items. :hehe:

If this game releases on current gen consoles it will be severely downgraded from what we saw at E3.

This was definetly designed around PC dev kits for the PS5 and Xbox 'scarlet' in mind.

They really shouldn't of had the game footage behind closed doors.

As much as I'm looking forward to this game, I was kinda bummed by how short the trailer was, and that it was a pre-rendered cutscene at that. I'm also concerned by the fact that this will be CDPR's first original game, with no existing material to build from (yes, I know 2077 is based on an RPG but that doesn't count).

How does it not count when it is technically based on something? The creator of Cyberpunk 2020 is even involved in the development of this game.

Because a tabletop game is much different than a series of novels. There's a major different between lore and story, and with 2077 being a narrative based game, the characters will be one of the most important aspects of the game. The Witcher already had that part handled.

It's only a slight worry at this point. Even Wild Hunt's trailers did a poor job of convey's its plot, so for right now I'm still optimistic.

While the description sounds disappointing, I'm not sure I even would've noticed without it being pointed out, as my community is only 6% Hispanic. Not that that excuse cultural stereotypes. but if the game is otherwise well crafted I'm not sure how much of an issue this will be to players unfamiliar with Latino culture.

But perhaps there's enough time to make the character(s) more realistic? Since this is a relatively superficial script/audio problem associated with a few NPCs, it shouldn't be too difficult to alter if they're so inclined.
