First announced last month, Sony Pictures is developing Invertigo, an original sci-fi script from Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon) and co-writer Bradley Camp. Today, Deadline reports that D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, I Am Number Four) is making plans to direct.

To be produced by Neal Mortiz, Invertigo tells the story about a satellite that, after crashing in New York City, causes the gravitational pull of the Earth to be reversed.

I loved The Salton Sea and Disturbia and thought Eagle Eye was decent so I am glad to See Caruso back, and this sounds like an interesting concept.

I was hoping Caruso would next be doing a sequel to I Am Number Four, but it looks like that sequel aint happening unfortunately.

^WW it didnt, and it was not far off its budget domestically, but there hasnt been any news of a sequel so there probably wont be one.

They were hyping that movie up like it was going to be the next Twilight and it failed to do that. It all but tanked and most didn't like it so a sequel would be a bad financial move which is why I believe that one will not be made.

Well when it comes to profit in Hollywood, its arbitrary. There's a difference between a success and just getting your money back. It needs to make a profit.

Don't worry the title will probably be shortened down to just Inver.

Oh yeah, Inver..just like the new title for the Carrie remake 'Ca..'
