dear diary,

i saw Pan's Labyrinth tonight. the title's translation bothers me. it's so incorrect. "El Labrinto del Faun" mean The Faun's Labyrinth or The Labyrinth of the Faun. there's also a couple of the times when the translation are kinda like what they're saying, but not exactly. these are my only complaints about it.

it's beautiful to watch. it's haunting, and beautiful, scary, and dream-like. i hope it wins every Oscar it's nominated for. it deserves them all.

The Pale Man made me want my mommy.
The Faun's makeup was just wowmazing! and the toad's death is disgusting and hilarious at the same time.

the ending is both sad and happy. and it's the only way the movie could've have ended.

it's a masterpiece.
