looks intense but maybe its just me but maybe they should of picked someone else as the lead since it just feels like ryan gosling rather than the character

Isn't that every Ryan Gosling movie?

Needs more Dylan Thomas.

It looks great for sure, but the trailer didn't do a good job generating any excitement for this story for me.

Neil Armstrong did an amazing thing but he was a quite man and his life wasn't as "amazing" as people would have you believe. After the Apollo mission he came back to his life and when he retired he didn't seek fame or fortune.

Claire Foy is coming for that Oscar nomination.

I was about to write this. Having read a lot about that era Armstrong's story isn't all that much to write home about, the whole thing was very much just a mission for him.

Gosling is selling that. Most of the lines delivered from him in this trailer sound very monotone.

For sure, I just don't know how well that's going to play as a film though. Armstrong really didn't even have much to do with the 11 team outside of the mission itself, judging from this they won't be taking any license with that area.

Just realised she has 2 films coming out in Oct and Nov (First Man and Girl in the Spider's Web)

Armstrong was a pretty quiet dude. Gosling seems well cast. This looks great.

Yeah it’s a banner year for her. I’m more impressed with the little we saw of her here though than with her Lisbeth. We’ll see...

It's a darn impressive trailer. Also I honestly don't know much about the Neil Armstrong story, however I have read The Right Stuff several times... and it certainly makes the lives of the astronauts seem much more dramatic and tense than they were in real-life. At least the original five all seemed pretty matter of fact about it, while this movie makes it seem like an emotional rollercoaster. I don't know, maybe that's true to Armstrong and his wife, but somehow it seemed Hollywoodized.

I just need one more "Gosling Atomic Rage" moment to complete the trifecta

Much like the opening chapters of The Right Stuff, I imagine being married to a test pilot would be pretty stressful.
