Horrible news. The man's a legend. I hope the damage done is reversible.

X-Factor is the first book I read every week that it's out, and is always an enjoyable read. I respect his talent immensely, and I hope that he gets well soon so that he can continue to share it with the world.

Hope he gets well, I've read his stuff since his Hulk run and it's almost like hearing bad news about a friend.

My two favorites were the Hulk and Captain Marvel.

I've always planned to get into X-factor, but am saving that.

Hope he can recover. Glad he's at least able to put out a statement. "X-Factor" is a wonderful beacon of consistent high quality.

This is deeply distressing, I don't have the words. :( X-Factor is one of my favorite books right now. I certianly hope he recovers quickly.

I know it's completely unimportant in light of Peter David's condition, but I wonder what's going to happen with X-Factor? Will they put it on hiatus until (hopefully) he recovers well enough to return to it or will they pass it on to someone else? Will they have someone ghost write this storyline using his ideas and then cancel the title until he'a healthy enough to come back for something else?

Honestly, the comic he writes means absolutely nothing in the seriousness of the condition but Marvel does have to make some sort of call on it. I wonder what their thinking process is?

My guess is someone works off his plots in the meanwhile. I'm sure there's several issues in the can.

I hope this is the case and not that he gets taken off comeplely because while the artists have been good and bad, the writing has always been great. :( He needs to stay.
