Drama Damon Lindelof Developing The Leftovers at HBO

I honestly couldnt care less about Meg and Tommy and their BS. I usually dont have such an aversion to television characters, but those two make me want to fast forward through every one of their scenes. That pretty much goes for all the Guilty Remnant and their crock of horse ****.

I love the idea of a rogue GR sect. Makes Meg and them all the more dangerous heading into the season finale.

I agree on the public hanging theory too. This season is probably not going to have a happy ending if you consider how last season ended. Last year everything kind of broke right for all the characters ending on a high note. They probably want to do something different although in Evie's case, her mother and brother do know about that special place in the woods where you can bury someone for 3 days....so there's that.

I'm really curious what the ratings for this Sunday will be now that TWD is out of the way...?

Also, here's the promo for those that never saw it.

I hope this shows returns for another season. Come on, HBO!.

I don't see why not, it's not doing bad for viewers and critics have sucked this season dry with love...

Finale tonight!

Alan Sepinwall says S3 is unclear and Lindelof told him that the finale ratings going up would help. And it sounds like the S2 finale sticks the landing.

I will be disappointed if two seasons are all we're going to get. :(

I don't even watch Girls. :(

I don't even watch Girls. :(

I watch it, but only for the guys. Ray and Adam (Adam Driver) are awesome, yet all of the girls are insufferable characters to watch.

But, my point was they both have their niche audience yet Leftovers also brings critics... which should make it worthy of another season.

HBO needs to get with it and renew it for season 3

Perfect finale

I think it's the first time this has been trending on Twitter, that's a good sign

The shivers I got with Matt's wife, the suspense with Evie and Erika, and then the holy **** moment with Hotel again... and then tears during the karaoke, more tears during the bonding/friendship of Kevin and John, and the suspense and even more tears when I didn't think Nora was going to be there... yet, right then... NORA.

Lindelof killed tonight, and this season. Where's my s3 news, HBO?

I love the last scene's statement...

People Need People. Someone can not replace another, yet no one can ever overcome a loss. You have to grow together to get better.

That was AMAZING.

I will not tolerate Lindelof bashing anymore. He's the man. This show is a masterpiece.

Holy crap, that was chocolate cheesecake good. :D My only fear is that such a conclusive ending means we won't get a third helping. :(

That finale was a great finale to end everything if the show for some god forsaken reason...is not renewed...but it also leaves so much room for story to grow in a third season.

But will they stay in Miracle or move on again? There's still so much to explore. I can't see how a season 3 DOESN'T happen.

As good as it is it doesn't negate his bad work. Nor does his bad work negate his good work.

Am I the only one bummed that the dog ran off? Must be because I'm a dog lover. :(

This season has just been downright phenomenal.

Obviously I'm down for S3 but I feel like tonight's finale was a satisfying finale fo the series for me as well. Maybe because I'm just reminded of Lost but I just knew that everyone would be there waiting for Kevin and I've got a huge smile on my face when they showed each one of them.

Justin Theroux was outstanding, without a doubt the biggest highlight of the finale. The return to the hotel was probably the single best scene I've seen put on television in a long time.

The closing scene was beautiful and felt even more complete next to S1's. I'm totally gonna rewatch this again tomorrow.

I hope HBO brings this back. Lindelof already said he wants to do more but still has to meet with HBO about it. It sounds like the deadline is February because of actors contracts, ect.

Wow. This show man. Wonderful

It was Breaking Bad good! :D I can't wait to watch them all through again.

Saw pics on Instagram and Twitter of people dressed as the GR standing outside HBO in New York holding up pads of paper that say, "RENEW." :woot:
