Peter Shinkoda has been tapped for a major recurring role in Netflix’s Marvel drama series Daredevil set to premiere in 2015. The series was written by executive producer Drew Goddard, with Steven S. DeKnight as executive producer/showrunner. Daredevil is the first of four 13-cutmypic (3)episode superhero series set in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Shinkoda, repped by D2 Management and Characters Talent Agency, will play Hachiro. Shinkoda was a regular on TNT’s Falling Skies and recently guest-starred on Hawaii Five-O. His big screen credits include I Robot, Godzilla and Paycheck.

Could Shinkoda possibly be playing Stick? I know he's a bit younger than the character is traditionally portrayed, but you never know.

I don't think they'd announce the character's name while having it be a fake name. Either they'd keep it a secret or they'd announce it truthfully. Not that I'm sure I can think of any reason to hide who Stick is.

My guess is that Hachiro is a replacement for Matsuo Tsuryaba who's part of the X-Men rights. I expect him to lead The Hand.

Casting Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page really, REALLY means I hope they don't give Karen Page the same fate as her comics counterpart.

DAW is the first casting I can pretty much take or leave. I always found her acting on True Blood very meh, but I can say the same with the entire cast. Most of them I find very good outside of that series though, and hopefully the same goes for DAW.

I am happy hearing DAW has been cast for the series. She's an immensely talented actress and would be a perfect addition to the MCU [just the other day, I listed her as a candidate for MJW in ASM3.]
