Malekith

Kurse

In the comics, Kurse is definitely more powerful than Malekith. Malekith is always fleeing from Kurse and doesn't look as if he has the slightest chance.

In the movie, however, I'd say Malekith's chances are somewhat better as MCU Malekith seems to be more powerful than comic Malekith.

But I'd still put my money on Kurse.

I'd like to see Comic Malekith vs. MCU Malekith but that's a poll for another forum.

Yeah comic Malekith doesn't stand a chance against Kurse, but from what I hear movie Malekith is VERY powerful. To be honest from what I've heard I'd probably give MCU Malekith the edge over MCU Kurse simply because how large scale his power is.

I don't know which I prefer. They complement each other well, even though it would have been nice to see more of Malekith just for the acting.

In a fight, at their peaks, I'd take Malekith. Just because [blackout]he doesn't seem killable by normal means while having the Aether.[/blackout]

Malekith was the better villian. More vengeful and sinister.

In battle He'd destroy Kurse quite easily by sucking Aether out of him.
But if you disabled that ability... well lets put it this way

Aether Malekith vs Aether Kurse.... Malekith
Aether Malekith Vs Normal Kurse... Malekith curbstomp
Malekith Vs Aether Kurse... Kurse (if Malekith can't suck the Aether out)
Malekith Vs Kurse ... Malekith

So I'm going with Malekith

He wasn't lame. He just wasn't fleshed out so that you couldn't feel his motivations. They didn't give Malekith and Kurse or the dark elves enough screen time.

I thought Kurse was awesome just beating the ever living **** out of Thor. I am actually glad they give Thor an upper limit to his power. It's not like he's weak, he's just realistic.

Malekith was also very cool in the film. I prefer lightning face Malekith to clean face. But both villains were awesome together.

I'd say Kurse though. As far as awe-inspiring goes.

After seeing the film I still don't know who would win, if Malekith keeps it long range he may win. But up close and personally I might give it to the big brute himself.

The main thing that screws Kurse is that I strongly suspect his power source is tied to the Aether. This means Malekith could likely undo it, or otherwise screw with it in various ways.
