I was wondering if any of you think The Dark Knight would have a similar ending to Batman Begins as in, Batman jumping off a rooftop and flying right through us. I thought that was AMAZING in BB when I hear the thunderous uproar of him flying/falling it gives me chills everytime i see it. Its always been the best ending of any move I have ever seen.

Superman always had the classic fly into outerspace and above the earth do you guys think Batman's signature ending will be jumping off rooftops?

From what I've gathered, not from spoilers, the ending is sort of somber with a sense of hope.

I think it should end with batman taking off his cowl and he is actually joker! It would mess with everyones mind. Then it cuts to black and says "Fight Club 2" Then credits.

and from that much alone...I speculate that it means...and don't worry i have no idea what the actual ending is but...
on the hope note...mayb eit means Gordan becomes Commissioner and the people embrace batman as a hero...i doubt they'll repeat the joker card trick again to leave us hanging...but rather they want us to leave the theater to soak in everything in TDK only.

that is all...:brucebat:

I have a feeling that Gordan destroying the Batsignal might be the final scene with the Joker making every one hate Batman in the end would be interesting at the least

but thats not very uplifting...and most of the reviews stated that it ends on positive note and not a depressing one...

I would like to see the Joker taken down, however he has succeeded in bringing Gotham into an anarchic state, and turned the city against Batman. With the Joker gone, and the police looking to pin the Dent incident on someone they choose Batman as their focal point. Since people say the endings positive, maybe it could be a meeting with Gordon where he tells Batman although he's now considered an active criminal there is still hope or something.

This would be a great ending from what I can guess at..the third act of the film is still pretty much unspoiled territory for me..as is the order of events in acts 1 and 2..so I have a feeling Nolan might have something very special in store.
