Dark Victory is very good.

For me the main thing that separates TheLongHalloweenL from TKL, DKR and Year1 is that it isn't as accessible by non-comic book readers. You have too have read a few comics before to really get into it.

Otherwise it's a classic fer sure.

Yes it is up there with Y1, TKJ,TDKR,TMWL etc... it retells origins of Two-Face with Bruce is in his 3rd year as Batman
I would have liked TLH more if it didn't take scene's and dialog directly from the Godfather and the turning of the Calendar man into Hannibal Lector.

Picky, picky, picky.

If you think that's picky you should hear me go off on comic book movies.
Yes... please don't?

I think I got lucky with TLH and DV as, I accidently read DV first, then read TLV after it. It was only after I realised I'd read the sequel first. It ended up good though, as I didn't think, as someone else posted "DV is hanging on the coat tails of LTH" and just saw it for the core writing. I perhaps even appreciated it more than the people who read the original first.

I'm not sure what my favourite Batman comic book is, maybe Year One, or a 70s run, but I definately agree this is one of the best. Thinking about it, I'm going to say Hush is my favourite Batman comicbook. It was just absolutely everything I could possibly hope for in a Batman story.

I agree with Buttman.

...did I just say I agree with "Buttman"?

Everyone must come to terms with it eventually.

Succumb to my will...

While I loved TLH I thought DV was a bit of a cash grab ont the LH's success. I fealt it just wasnt as good as TLH.

Okay, I have now completed the Loeb/Sale Batman trilogy. I read the stories that started it all, Haunted Knight, the collected Halloween specials.

I loved them all but my favorite is the first one with The Scarecrow.

I think Tim's art evolved in TLH and DV. It didn't seem quite as good at times in Haunted Knight.

There was one shot of Bruce and he looked ******ed.

Gordon and the Joker didn't quite look the same as his other drawings of them.

But still dang good!!!

Let me just say that the Long Halloween series is what got me back into Batman.

Loved all 3 of them.
