It looks like the Dark Avengers are going to get some buddies to team up with in th future. I think Dark Reign is going to try to out do all of Marvel's events with it's excessive event minis, one-shots, crossovers, and DR arcs in almost ever ongoing series they have.

This seems....kinda dumb, but expected considering Emma's role in Dark Reign and the rift developing between Emma and Scott.

DARK WOLVERINE, DARK SPIDER-MAN, DARK AVENGERS, and now DARK X-MEN.

Hell, the X-Men franchise can barely support a non-Dark spinoff, and hasn't been able to for about 2-4 years now.

Flooding the market during a recession...ah, that Joe Quesada, the Steve Irwin of EIC's.

Mock the 90's all you want, but for $4 back then, you at least got a hologram cover.

Yes, that means Daken will be on the Dark X-Men and the Dark Avengers as well as no end of guest stints at the same time per month (and WOLVERINE: ORIGINS). He's taking after his father already.

True. He also dared virtually every animal he came across in his show to kill him. Every one. Just as Joe and DiDio are daring the market to collapse around them, and have for about four years now. They confuse business sense with cynicism about their audience, and one day it has to come to a head.

It is nice to see Namor on an X-team after all the marketing of him as Marvel's first mutant.

Eh, I dunno. I always see that as a tacky 90's gimmick to sell his title when mutants were hot ****. It also isn't like Namor is hard to find right now. I could think of about 5 books off the top of my head he's been in right now.

He's a cool character, but so was Wolverine, once. Overexposure kills.

I wish this was an April fools joke, but they put it up on April 2nd. The thing is it doesn't matter if the story is good or bad it will sell. and thats why events and event tie ins/minis keep happening.

aside from the fact that there are just a lot of books out, you havent really given a reason as to why you think this is a bad idea. i think having a lot of tie-ins is kind of a moot point seeing as no one is forcing you to buy them.

lots of tie ins =lots of stories for every title that if you don't buy will eventually have some sort of effect on titles you do buy. and a little asterisk note doesn't explain everything.
