Dark X-Men

If Namor's involved, he and Emma could probably drag the Dark X-Men (sans Daken) into it on the "good" side.

Nah, X-Men and avengers almost never touch on each others events. If they did the X-Men wouldn't get to ***** about how no one ever helps them.

Well, Dark Reign is sort of touching everything. It's the event with OCD.

I would love to see the X-Men and Avengers act like they existed on the same planet, but I also know my MU history.

Chances it'll be like Civil War, WWH and SI.

They've crossed over before. X-Men vs. the Avengers, Fall of the Mutants (Thor took Angel down after his wings were impaled), Secret Wars, Infinite Gauntlet, House of M, etc.

I like to pretend HoM never happened. And I'm not saying they never crossover, just they haven't in any recent time (again no HoM, Lalalalalala *fingers in ears*). I'd so dig another secret wars though or acts of vengence. I just don't see them crossing over much till all this messiah nonsense is put to bed. It would be cool if once the X-Men or avengers just showed up in the other's book cause something major was going down and they were here to help.

I don't think it's that cut-and-dried. The Dark X-Men, aside from Daken and probably Dark Beast, aren't impersonating anyone like the Dark Avengers are. Most of them have been recognized as heroes in their own right, so the public would easily buy them as a hero team.

Also, the Sentry and Ares aren't impersonating anyone either. As far as the public knows, they're the only "good" Avengers who decided to stay with the reorganized government team.

Maybe ONE got reorganized into a branch of HAMMER. As far as I understand it, HAMMER's in charge of pretty much everything related to superhumans of any kind in the United States now.

I didnt say impersonating, I said representing, 2 different things.

Ares and Sentry arent impersonating Hercules and Thor, they just represent that character. Kinda like how IronPatriot represents Ironman, but he's not trying to steal his identity.

Yeah, it would. But the teams aren't really set up for that anymore. I mean, Hank might just have the Mighty Avengers drop in to help the X-Men, but the Dark Avengers obviously aren't helping anyone and Scott probably wouldn't even piss on a non-mutant who's burning to death at this point.

I think Marvel is trying to clean up and organize the Avengers and the X-Men, in their own "mini-verses" within the MU. Once marvel gets the mutants situated, I think we will actually be seeing a lot more mutant(X-Men)/superhuman(Avengers) interaction and crossovers.

Yeah, scott's such a dick now. He used to be one of my favorite X-Men too.

Same here. I'd love to see the other original four get back together and knock some sense into him.

I like Cyclops more now than before, and I was a huge Cyclops fan. He is a dick now, but compare that to how he was for all the years before that. Everybody was walking all over Cyclops before, you even had the kids telling Cyke to basically f-off. Scott is now clearly in control and Emma has taken a back seat, it was the opposite before, Emma was basically calling all the shots, while Scott wasnt getting the respect he deserved.

I dont really see anything wrong with Cykes new attitude. Basically Cyke would be for torture(water-boarding), and I see nothing wrong with that.

Actually I think fraction implied that it will be scott's inate dickishness with X-Force that's gonna force osborn to do this. I wouldn't mind a reality check for scott. It would be cool to read an X-book other than X-factor.

I heard that the Dark X-Men are a response to X-Force, too (hypocritical though it may be, given that Osborn's got the Thunderbolts for exactly the same reason). But I still think the Illuminaughty are eventually going to implode.
Doesn't a solicit for the X-Men/Dark Avengers crossover also say something like "Norman Osborn is right"?

eh, I prefer heroes to act heroically. My favorite stuff X related is a bit older where scott was moral, badass enough to threaten wolverine (and wolverine would back the **** off) and decent enough to help anyone no matter who they were.

the what now?
I was thinking of this.

"WHO ARE THE DARK X-MEN? He has his own Avengers team and now Norman Osborn has his own X-Men team. The other shoe has finally dropped and Emma Frost has betrayed Cyclops and the rest of the X-Men. And that’s just one of the huge surprises in “UTOPIA”. Is that Namor? Cloak and Dagger? Professor X?! The thing that you aren’t ready for is that Osborn is right."

Whatever's going down, they're almost definitely going to put Cyclops in the wrong.

Oh, it was the crossover thing I didn't get. Yeah it seems the only person more of a dick than osborn currently is scott. Hope X-Force gets their asses kicked (they should too, with that line up).

Really, though. When Wolverine fails to run up and stab you, their only hope is that Archangel can fly up and stab you. Warpath and X-23 literally have nothing else to offer. Most of the Dark Avengers are bullet proof, so good luck Domino. I suppose they could luck out, and every single member of the Dark Avengers will attempt to grab Elixir by the collar at the same time while Norman's armor malfunctions.

Manic, it's the dark X-Men that are being used, not the DA. From that line up X-Force is vastly overpowered.

Oh.

Honestly, I don't see how anyone could win a fight against Cloak. He opens his cloak, everyone gets sucked in, they emerge in Abu Dhabi with crippling depression, Cloak abandons them. End of fight.

Same here. Post-The Twelve resurrection Cyclops is my favorite, especially Whedon's version in Astonishing X-Men. Badass, willing to make the hard calls, but not a complete *****e who would do something like sanction a team of assassins, including a teenager and a young woman who's drowning in self-loathing.

Yeah, then you throw in namor, mimic, emma and xavier? Can't see them getting through this scrape well at all.

I so hope Xavier gives Scott a good earful after all that bulls*** about how Xavier used the X-Men and how his dream failed in X-Men Legacy. To find out that this is how Scott is carrying on his legacy? Yeah, no wonder the dream failed, *****e; it's because you, once its most stalwart supporter, are now sanctioning assassin teams to murder your enemies in cold blood. :o

awesome, then emma admits to cheating on scott with wolverine.
