Darksiders 2

No problem . Ok, Here's ROTR's review. and this will come a surprise for most that know Scott c Jones is a tough scorer. ( or that he's just really too picky for his own good)

Victor and Scott join Death on his reign of terror in Darksiders II

Shows

August 16 – Reviews on the Run – Full Show

Steve and Raju continue the look back at the NES with their favorite titles, take to the skies with Balloon Fight, Jose and Ben Reboot Darksiders, danger lurks in the skies with Hijacked, and Death reigns in Darksiders II

Vic and scott played Darksiders II, It was mostly High praise for this. from them. "A Ton of fun with some of the best elements borrowed from other games as they admitted. yet there's enough in there as they said for it to be unique and stand squarely on it's own."

They said it's a must buy and they like the fans enjoying this (if you are playing this) want to keep the future of this studio (vigil) that created this series going. That it's vote for vigil's future, THq's future, AAA gamess future,

A very rich experiences to play in, they also said we all have to put vigil on our sholders and Regale them as Heroes for bringing the Darksiders series to the video game industry. It truly is an much needed investment for all to enjoy.

Victor Lucas scored Darksiders II an 8.5 and Scott c Jones scored this an 9.0( it's rare that happens with him folks even more so giving any thing even a 10 )

There's also a re-review for Darksiders I by Ben and Jose' since alot of people are playing that to prepare for the second one in the full show.

Getting more into now. That whole story with War being blamed for the apocalypse is much deeper than you think it is, that's all I'm gonna say.

My game has just arrived!

And here are two pod casts from ROTR(associate of EPD.TV) and GI on Darsiders II

Podcast

Episode 6: The Summer Drought Has Ended!

t’s the NSFW Edition. This week: Vic and Scott swear a record 32 times down on The Basement. No kidding. If you have sensitive ears, or if you’re our moms, use caution when listening. Also: there’s one unfortunate reference to buttholes and one reference to “ramming tongues.” Scott also does a dramatic reading of The Press Release Of The Week (this one provided by Reviews host Ben Silverman) (thanks, Ben!). And Mad Dog McCree is officially banned from all future episodes of Reviews on the Run and EP. Why? Listen to unravel the mystery.

The Howling Wailer or the Wailing Howler or whatever its called. Oofta that was a ridiculously hard fight. So much going on and everything was green. Yikes it was hard. Took er down with the storm of crows with no life left. Very satisfying

So I played a few hours. I have the PC version, so I have to fight with screen tearing and framerate drops. The experience is almost the same as with the first Darksiders, a not optimized port of the console version. Only encountered one bug so far. But despite these PC Issues, I'm really enjoying it. Also love that I got a Scythe with 200% crit damage, for completing Darksiders. :D

And the beginning was Epic.

Anyone else catch the Darksiders/Metalocalypse promo on Adult Swim last night?

It was pretty funny. Apparently Death likes black olives and ****e's blood on his pizza.

My copy arrived this morning and I've been loving it so far. Which didn't come as a surprise, but still.

Does anyone with the 360 version want my code for the Deadly Despair Pack? It gives you an extra speed boost with Despair.

Tried to find one before I posted those pics, but no luck. They ran it a bunch during a Metalocalypse marathon last night. Knowing Adult Swim they'll run it again on a regular basis or put it up on their website eventually.

Played about nine hours so far and the game is pretty sweet. I haven't run into any glitches like the reviews mentioned. Normally I'm not too into RPG and customization stuff, but I like the way this game gives you all the stats in a way that's easy to understand when you're upgrading.

I haven't seen any bugs yet either.

Something I really love about this game is that they get down to business pretty quick. No overly long bull**** exposition dump. No overbearing tutorial. Just, "You're Death. You've got two scythes and a horse. Go."

Has anyone found a possessed weapon, the very first weapon I got was a possessed axe, i guess they are very rare

I only have one gripe with the game so far, and this is pretty minor, but I don't like how automated the traversal sections are.

Also, no I haven't found any possessed weapons.

I have found two possessed Scythes. What exactly do I do with them? Do I need to use them till they level and then feed them stuff?

You feed them other weapons to level up and as they level up you can add special abilities to them like health sap or increase in defense, stuff like that. My only gripe is that he does that longer dodge every third time. It's screwed me a few times in combat. Very very minor complaint. I've been taking my time, doing all the sidequests and I believe I'm about halfway done and I'm at the 22 hour mark loving every second

Just beat the game. Took me 18 hours to do so and I havent even done any of the side missions yet. Plus I was only stuck in one puzzle for 30 min. Died 3-4 times. This game is loooooooong

I too beat it a few days ago. Currently going back for janitorial duties so to speak, mopping up all the collectables and side missions I missed. Then it's onto NG+ to get those Crucible and level 30 trophies and finally will have to play through again on Apocalyptic to get that one. The platinum will be mine. Only rarely do I feel compelled to do and get everything in a game. This is one is just so much fun.

The puzzle and level design is just top notch in this game. The whole time traveling dungeon is fantastically designed

If anyone playing on 360 wants a level 9 possessed mace, I've got one to give away.

You'll be eating those words when you have to backtrack through it to get collectibles. Arggghh Shadow's Edge is the bane of my existence at the moment. But yeah you're right. On initial playthrough, great level. As are all the dungeons. Top notch design.
