Darthphere's House of Style: From Geek to Chic.

This is pretty much an offshoot of the Gay Male Prostitutes Saggy Jeans debate. We started discussing skinny jeans and their comfortableness or lack thereof. Ladies and Gentleman are welcome. Don't be shy guys, talking about fashion is like totally the in thing to do these days. So here's a few ice breaker questions to get things rolling:

What's your favorite clothing brand? (Limited to 3 because I know someone will ***** about not being able to choose one.)

When designing an outfit for a night on the town, what do you focus on first? (i.e. shoes, shirt, jacket, jeans/pants)

How would you define your style? Hybrid answers are welcome.

Your favorite article of clothing?

Your least favorite article of clothing?

Your favorite accessory? (This could also include any tech like a cellphone)

One fashion item you wish you could have but can't? State reason why.

I know I am about 20 pages late on this opener, but here goes anyway.

Favorite brand:
Polo for sure, at least for shirts. I tend to stay pretty plain with it-not many stripes or patterns. Daniel Cremieux relaxed jeans fit me best bc of my big legs, so I guess I should mention that. I love Cole Haan shoes also.

Focus on:
None of the above really. I will just decide on a color and then go from there.

Styled defined:
Pretty Conservative with some prep and a touch of military. I have to wear shirts a little bit bigger to help cover up my firearm, so some people may think Im a little sloppier than I really am.

Favorite:
Jeans probably, since I wear them so often. Although I just bought 4 new suits at Dillards 2 days ago, including 2 Hart, Schaffner and Marx suits, so I am excited to get those back from the tailor and wear them to work.

Least fav:
Stuff my wife buys me that she thinks looks good. She loves bright colors, but I tend to keep it conservative. I usually dont keep anything Im not wearing though. I TRY to keep the closet organized and not too full. Typically, I wont buy something unless I get rid of at least 1 thing first.

Fav accessory:
I guess my cell phone..? I wear my Citizen Black Eagle watch with just about anything, too.

Wish I had:
Hmmm....I tried on a Hugo Boss suit the other day and it didnt fit right...but I sure wanted it to! I have a lot of watches that I would wear, if I could afford them!

ADIDAS Star Wars Collection

I like some of the stuff, the shoes are pretty tight but IMO, pales in comparison with the Marc Ecko Star Wars collection. I might grab the hoodie though.

Speaking of Marc Ecko, I'm currently looking for this jacket in an XXL. And before you give me a website, I've checked almost everything. I wants it bad and will do many things for you if you can acquire it for me. This is your mission.

I was wondering why Macy's seemingly got rid of all their Star Wars gear and they only had a few items on clearance, seems like I found my answer.

I'm going shopping this weekend. I'll take some pics of some Japanese fashion... and you all can relay how gay it looks and whatnot.

Andy, I would be terrified for you in those shoes.

Also, here's a pic of me from New Year's Eve. Seemingly the only picture of me before I got lost in the darkness.

"Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!"

Looking good Darth. You wear XXL? What, you like really, really tall or something?

Tall women don't intimidate me, I love em!

I got 4 new cardigans for Christmas. They go well with my selection of neckerchiefs.

I LOVE being tall. But wearing 5" heels would just make me feel awkwardly towering lol. If I was a short girl, though, I'd wear them all the time so I could be taller!

wow

....are women even allowed outside the kitchen in your universe?

What do you mean outside the kitchen?

And I love you for you. I have no problem with tall girls.

It's been quite chilly here for a week, here being Miami, so you got to bust out with the leather jackets once it hits 60. I have pics on my facebook that I really don't want to post here.

Ive never been one for leather jackets...they just don't look right on me and I firmly believe there should be an approval process before someone can wear a leather jacket

I wonder if you think I look good in them. Link is on the way.
