Darthphere's House of Style: From Geek to Chic.

Manic, sir, you are contradicting yourself, here. You can't "rock" a leather jacket if you think you look like crap in them. Which is it?! :cmad:
I said I used to rock a leather jacket. Past tense. Meaning I stopped.

BL, I think you need to find a leather jacket that suits you. There are so many styles and variations. I think everyone should own one leather jacket...or trenchcoat.

good god no....no trenchcoats...I saw one too many pasty 115 lb jagoffs wearing trenchcoats after The Matrix came out

I dress pretty non descript...I can essentially disappear into a crowd if need be

If I had a trenchcoat, I'd wear it everyday. It helps that my school has a business-style dress code.

That's the problem right there. Leave my thread.:csad:

It's been 10 years since The Matrix. Let it go.

BL you don't dress like a middle aged man do you?

You gotta have some flair, some pizzaz, some style!

It's been quite chilly here for a week, here being Miami, so you got to bust out with the leather jackets once it hits 60. I have pics on my facebook that I really don't want to post here.

Quite chilly at 60? You bastard. :csad:

I don't do pizazz....I dress fairly regular...jeans, tshirts, the occasional button down when I have a staff meeting...boots or sneakers...my coat is a nice thermal blend that is deceptively warm

Yeah, it has snowed in Miami for like 100 years.

Is this a typo? If not my mind is totally blown. I can't even fathom snow in Florida. Except at Blizzard Beach :awesome:.

As for leather jackets...I've always wanted one, but I can never seem to find one that I like. I hate the blazer style leather jacket. I want something like this.

(same jacket, styled slightly differently)

Currently I have three winter jackets

(but in black, without a hood, and longer)

And I have a black wool trench from the Gap for fancier occasions.

I had a couple of Target gift cards, and while I was there today I bought a faux leather jacket that I love.

I'm about to walk to Target right now. Coat hooks. FTW!!!!!! :awesome:

I guess I kind of do, particularly for work, but we have a pretty conservative dress code anyways. Suits should only be black, gray or navy blue and no wild, loudly colorful or themed ties.

That being said, you can still dress sharp as hell with those guidelines. I feel like I do when I wear a suit and such-good brands like Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, Cole Haan, etc etc.

Can't go wrong with a dickie bow. I usually flex a spinning one for a night out on the tiles

I'm going shopping this weekend. I'll take some pics of some Japanese fashion... and you all can relay how gay it looks and whatnot.

Okay, so I went to a couple of Japanese malls with my friend. Shopping for clothes for her and clothes for me. No, these pics weren't exactly taken with permission... but it's for fashion's sake so get over it:

These were taken during a school day... so it's safe to assume these women are of legal age... for me to take pictures of at least. My friend said she doesn't think they would mind nor did she care. I shrugged and shot away:

Sorry Darth, mostly women's fashion:
