If... IF this is true...

The good news is... it basically has all the ingredients I want. It's not the origin story (which doesn't mean it can't change things within the backstory, or flashback to the origin to orient people), it has Brainiac as the antagonist and is written by writer I admire.

The bad news is that by the same token that it's not the origin, it might--MIGHT--have Jason in the backstory. It likely won't, but there simply isn't enough detail in the story to say one way or the other.

That is IF this is true.

I'm impressed. Six pages and it hasn't turned into another casting/director/manip/fanstory thread yet.

David Goyer is a good writer, so i have no worries in regards to story

just as long as he doesn't direct

and i think it's good that we don't get a direct origin. a couple of flashbacks would suffice

"takes the movies back to the John Byrne incarnation."

If by that they mean a lot of action, that's okay.

If anything else and if all other versions are excluded, giving it no semblence of Siegel and Shuster or anything that came after, that's bad.

I just reread MOS 1-6 and the first 5 issues of Byrne's Superman series. Lots of petty shots at people like me who were fans of the previous status quo, but fairly acceptable comics for that period, although Byrne was even then a poor writer and a massively overrated artist.

I guess this means matrix birth and ugly as **** Krypton, and constant slaps in the face to fans of any other period. I hope I'm wrong. If it's much like Byrne's version I'll pass on seeing it.

Showtime should make use of PM, he knows he can trust me, a Patriots fan never lies.

yeah, Warner Bros are harassing Latino Review right now according to El May so yeah..not a good idea.

This is great news.

I've always wanted them to remove "Superman" from the title... and just call it "The Man of Steel"

Superman generally has negative connotations with todays general audience but this reinvention could change things.

...and just because you said that...

Well WB need to ****. I dunno sometimes how those guys get their jobs; like getting the sources die hard fans excited is a bad thing :whatever:

So wait. That means Diane Nelson's denial/non-denial was ********? Hate to be one of those morons who took her at face value and said how it "debunked" that news. I mean someone involved in the entertainment industry...lying...!?!

so i guess this means that they are about this now and noone can leak anything because you can get in trouble.

We know what we can and can't leak. It's hard to explain.

Well, you have countless Superman movies with that other stuff so you certainly won't be bored.
