If Goyer's role is the same as on Batman Begins then the Man of Steel will do just fine..

As long as he is not directiong or writing the dialogues...

So basically just come up with a general story outline and let the other guys do all the heavy lifting.

Showtime-Any word on when we may hear more concret news about Flash, Wonder woman or Shazam? With all the news breaking at DC, those are the pieces of the puzzle you mentioned at IESB that we still need to hear about.
Superman and Batman in the same year sounds about right with either Flash/Shazam or Flash/WW the following year and dare I even dream...JLA!

Goyer wrote most of Batman Begins. He "just came up with a general story" for TDK.

Oh really? I thought it was the other way around. I was under the impression that he and Jonah co-wrote the TDK screenplay, while he didnt have a whole lot of time for BB because of Blade Trinity, so he just gave Nolan a basic outline for how the story would go.

Ya know, with Nolan Bros. and Goyer involved we should have a B.B./TDK caliber cast with M.O.S....Damn, I can't wait to hear more.

All of this talk makes me wonder what Bryan Singer is doing. The guy is attached to 100 different projects, supposedly directing Jack the Giant Killer, Battlestar Galactica and X-Men: First Class. What the hell is he doing right now?

its great we have all this news going. I do wonder how long things have been in motion or how far along things are really. Cant wait to see who ends up directing, where they go with casting. As for production i would figure early spring/early summer 2011 shooting for a 2012 release spring or winter(if the hobbit isnt taking that spot). Crossing fingers things work out well this time for wb for superman.

That's how it started out. He offered his ideas for free to Nolan but then it turned out that Nolan loved his ideas so Goyer got more involved. Goyer wrote the first draft, and from there Nolan helped him edit it. As for TDK, Goyer helped come up with the story but Jonah is the one who wrote the first draft and Chris helped him edit it.

Must...not...make...joke...

Aw, ***** it.

Super Nolan Bros!
"Its a-me, Christian-o!"

Well, Goyer was prepping for Blade: Trinity but he was able to knock out a draft or two for Nolan to look at and revise before departing the project (that's why he has a "story by" and co-screenplay credit). With TDK he and Nolan penned the story outline and pitched it to the studio, but he didn't write a draft for TDK.

OOOH! Aesop's ego or mine? :hehe:

jk, jk. I know who Ego the Living, talking, stalking planet is.

I think Goyer will do fine in this.

I mean, he did a good job helping out with BB and TDK. And isn't Jonah helping him as well on this?

Awesome news all around! :woot:

Now they just need to formally announce this, along with a kick-ass director, and set release dates for this and the next Batman film in 2012 (maybe Batman in the summer and Superman in the holiday season). :ybat: :super:

With all the Superman news, I'm kinda itching for some Batman news.

Hey folks, Harry here... So just a while ago I just got off the phone with Thomas Tull at Legendary Pictures who told me that the story that appeared over on LATINO REVIEW just frankly isn't true. Tull has not unilaterally hired Goyer to come in and write the new SUPERMAN. He loves Goyer, but frankly - the project isn't at the Script stage yet. Seems Nolan is still hatching some ideas. But he just wanted me to pass on that they have the highest enthusiasm for this project, but the story on Latino just isn't accurate. I'll see what more I can find out, but as of right now, there really isn't anything else to tell.
