BvS David S. Goyer IS the Script Writer!

How do you feel about Goyer writing the script for the first Superman Batman film

I guess after Smallville, ANYTHING would have felt a little bit more dull. They should have gone with the original ending, and saved the 7 minutes for more character scenes.
 
I just like the image of the climax of the film being Superman actively protecting civilians, not killing a big robot thing in the middle of nowhere/crashing a ship/killing a guy in a big spectacle fight scene where the civilian toll is basically unaddressed.
