Now that he's officially "OFF" The Flash movie what is next for David Goyer??? The guy is an extremely talented writer and has stated time and again Thor is his favorite Marvel character and someone how or another he's alway somehow connected to any talks about the film. Will he step in and fast track THOR...or has he started it already. I also chatted w/him online years ago on the Blade Trinity boards and he showed interest in a Silver Surfer stand alone film as well. I'm sure we'll hear something soon as per his Myspace announcement...

David S. Goyer
Goyer Flash R.I.P.
Well, I've been waiting a few months to relate this news -- but I am sad to say that my version of The Flash is dead at WB. The God's honest truth is that WB and myself simply couldn't agree on what would make for a cool Flash film. I'm quite proud of the screenplay I turned it. I threw my heart into it and I genuinely think it would've been the basis of a ground-breaking film. But as of now, the studio is heading off in a completely different direction. I expect you'll hear of some new developments on that front shortly.
But in happier news, I'll soon be able to report on what I've been doing INSTEAD of The Flash. Stay tuned.

Goyer on Thor
From The Dark Knight to the God of Thunder.
by Stax
December 13, 2004 - The IESB chatted with Marvel Studios CEO and film producer Avi Arad about the planned big-screen version of Thor, Marvel Comics' recently deceased god of thunder.
Rumors swirled last week that screenwriter David Goyer (the Blade trilogy, Batman Begins) was onboard the project. Arad confirmed that for the IESB.
"Thor is being written now. Actually, David is going to write it," Arad said at the premiere of Blade: Trinity. "He is a Thor fanatic for a long time. He's going to write it."
I attended yesterday's Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles where Goyer and Blade: Trinity's Jessica Biel were in attendance. When I asked Goyer about Thor, he was legitimately surprised to hear that Arad said he was scripting it. As far as Goyer knew, the deal was still only in the works.
Goyer added that he hopes to direct the film, which is set-up at Sony Pictures. He also downplayed the notion that rumored contender Triple H who appears in Blade: Trinity would portray Thor, saying he didn't think the wrestler-actor might be all that interested in it.

Michael Straczynski announced at the Charlotte's Heroes Convention this weekend that scribe David Goyer ("Batman Begins", "Blade") is writing a treatment for the film version of "Thor" reports Newsarama.
Previously screenwriter Mark Protosevich ("Poseidon", "The Cell") was attached to pen the script, so its unsure if Goyer will re-writ Protosevich's script or start from scratch.
Thor is part of Marvel's independent production slate of feature films expected to be financed with Marvel's $525 million revolving film financing facility and distributed through Paramount Pictures
